Thomas Carstens caught with cocaine after refusing to leave JW Marriot Hotel

36-year-old Thomas Carstens caused a disturbance by refusing to leave JW Marriot Nashville on 8th Avenue South late July 20th. Upon arrival, officers located Carstens and noticed he had a bloody nose, dilated pupils, and could not sit still. Then, Carstens admitted that he had ingested cocaine and alcohol throughout the day. When officers asked if he had taken all of it, he replied, “No.” and pulled out a little over a gram of cocaine from his pocket. Carstens was then taken into custody for simple possession.

Aloha McPhee found drunk & unable to walk outside of Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk

50-year-old Aloha Ann McPhee was observed sitting on the sidewalk, unable to get up or walk, in front of Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk on the afternoon of July 19th. Security alerted the authorities, who arrived and noticed she was in tears with other security staff members surrounding her. When officers approached her, she reeked of alcohol and stated she was with her boyfriend. Officers tried calling him several times but did not get a response. Then, after McPhee failed to get an Uber, officers deemed her a danger to herself and detained her for the occurrence. McPhee was taken into custody for public intoxication.

DUI: Michael Annese blocks person’s driveway, repeatedly tells police he wasn’t driving

43-year-old Michael Annese parked in front of a Maxwell Avenue residence’s driveway, blocking it in the early hours of July 19th. The resident called 911, and when officers arrived, he told them that the vehicle in question had been sitting there for some time. Officers approached Annese, who seemed confused and was “acting strange.” Due to his behavior, officers asked him if he had been drinking, to which he replied, “Yes.” Annese advised officers that he was sitting in his car until he felt safe to drive. Officers had him exit the vehicle, where he showed signs of intoxication and reeked of alcohol. Officers prompted Annese with sobriety tests, and he agreed. While performing the tests, Annese repeatedly stopped and told officers he wasn’t driving. After performing poorly, he was Mirandized and informed of implied consent. Annese refused to provide a chemical sample and was taken into custody for driving under the influence and an implied consent violation.

DUI: Harrison Gilchrist crashes into multiple cars at Music City Motorsports after drinking Coors Beer

26-year-old Harrison Gilchrist had a single-vehicle accident at Music City Motorsports on Harding Pike in the early hours of March 17th. When officers arrived, the Harding Pike and Highway 70 South street sign had been knocked down. Gilchrist’s GMC Sierra had struck two cars at the dealership and was pressed against one of them with his steering wheel’s airbags deployed. Gilchrist was unresponsive, so officers alerted the medics, who carried him out on a stretcher. While on the stretcher, Gilchrist partially woke up, trying to resist medics and push them away. Medics had to administer a calming agent to get him to relax. During the officers’ investigation, they noticed he reeked of alcohol and had an empty 12-oz Coors beer bottle in his cup holder. Gilchrist was then transported to Vanderbilt Hospital for treatment. A witness, Tori Teal, said Gilchrist had been speeding while driving toward the median, hit the post, and accelerated into oncoming traffic before colliding with the dealership’s cars. Gilchrist was taken into custody for driving under the influence on July 20th.

DUI: Ryan Parks parks car inside house after drinking with friends on Broadway

19-year-old Ryan Parks crashed into a Kimbark Drive residence on July 20th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Parks, who stated he had fallen asleep while driving and crashed into the home. Parks said he was coming from Broadway with friends before consenting to sobriety tests. During the tests, he showed signs of impairment and performed poorly. Parks was Mirandized, and after being read implied consent, he refused to provide a chemical sample. Parks was then taken into custody for driving under the influence and an implied consent violation.

Makenzie Lockridge allegedly threatens ex-girlfriend with gun after being kicked out

23-year-old Makenzie Lockridge was involved in a domestic dispute with her ex-girlfriend, Nicole Tolvert, at her Grove Dale Trace residence on April 10th. Tolvert contacted law enforcement, saying that Lockridge kicked in her back door and had a gun in her hand. Tolvert stated that Lockridge never pointed the gun at her, but she was scared. Tolvert then left through the front door and called 911. When officers arrived, they observed Lockridge looking through the living room window. Once they instructed her to put her hands up, she informed officers that she had a handgun inside her fanny pack. When officers Mirandized Lockridge, she told them that she had been living at the residence and that Tolvert had told her she had to leave by Thursday. Lockridge stated that she had been trying to get her things together, so she returned to the residence, but Tolvert locked her out. Lockridge then kicked in the already damaged back door to enter. According to Lockridge, the fanny pack containing the gun was around her chest the whole time, and she never attempted to grab it. Lockridge also said that she only briefly saw Tolvert while getting her belongings. Law enforcement spoke with Tolvert again on April 16th. Tolvert, in that meeting, decided to prosecute because she stated that she had felt scared and traumatized for a “good period of time.” Lockridge was later taken into custody on July 18th for domestic assault.

Alejandro Morales-Campos punches girlfriend after learning she cheated on him

29-year-old Alejandro Morales Campos had a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Jade Frazier, at a Leatherwood Drive residence on July 18th. Responding officers located Campos with Frazier’s light blue phone case and detained him. Under Miranda, he agreed to speak with officers. He stated that he confronted Frazier regarding suspicions that she was cheating on him. Campos explained that the neighbor told him she brings over a new guy daily. Then, Campos admitted to pushing her into the restroom before grabbing her phone. He said he circled the block as he checked her phone. While doing this, Campos said he found messages between her and another man, where she told him she loved him. Then, he told officers he returned to the residence, punched her in the face, and gave her the phone back. Campos added that he had been suicidal since age 10. When officers spoke with Frazier, she stated the red marks on her cheek and neck were sustained from Campos attacking her. Campos was then taken into custody for domestic assault.

Farhad Nazari assaults wife during altercation, tells her “there’s nothing you can do”

30-year-old Farhad Nazari was involved in a domestic altercation with his wife, Shafiqa Khail, while at their Glastonbury Road apartment on February 29th. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Khail, who claimed that she called the police because she was scared of Nazari, who was outside their apartment. Khail informed officers that on February 26th, Nazari had physically assaulted her, telling her “there’s nothing you can do.” Khail showed officers numerous bruises on her arms and legs that were caused by Nazari assaulting her. Khail had two large bruises on her arm and one on her calf that officers documented. Nazari was not on the scene, and a warrant was issued as he was deemed the primary aggressor. Nazari was later found and taken into custody for domestic assault on July 18th.

KeTonio Wright kicks ex-girlfriend in stomach while assaulting her with another woman

25-year-old Ketonio Wright was involved in a domestic altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Andraneika Johnson, at her Jo Johnston Avenue residence on December 2nd, 2023. When officers arrived, they spoke with Johnson. Johnson told them that Wright was waiting outside in a vehicle when she went to get food from her car. A woman inside the car with Wright approached Johnson, grabbed her by the hair, and dragged her to the ground. Once the woman was done, Wright exited the vehicle, kicked her in the stomach, and hit her in the face. Wright and the woman left after the assault. Wright was later taken into custody for domestic assault on July 18th, 2024.

Daniel Sallay jailed after opening bank accounts under multiple identities at First Horizon Bank

39-year-old Daniel Lee Sallay was caught opening fraudulent accounts at the Union Street First Horizon Bank around 10:15 a.m. on July 18th. When police arrived, the manager at the location stated that a male, later identified as Sallay, had opened four accounts at their other establishments, and they wanted him prosecuted. Then, officers searched Sallay and found an Alaska license with the name Chris Rathbone and an Ohio license with the name Corey L Phillips, two bank patrons. Sallay was then taken into custody for two counts of identity theft.
