Charlotte Ratliff attempts to run woman off road, threatens her with gun during altercation

61-year-old Charlotte Ratliff had an altercation with Phyllis Anderson at Anderson’s Mountain Springs Road apartment on July 5th. Anderson told responding officers that as she left Larry’s on Murfreesboro Pike, Ratliff attempted to run her off the road several times with her black Jaguar. Then, Anderson explained that Ratliff was waiting for her as she arrived home. Anderson stated that Ratliff exited her vehicle and reached into her window with a gun, telling her she would kill her. Anderson told Ratliff that she has a grandson, to which Ratliff responded by saying “f*ck your grandson.” Then, as Ratliff went back to her car, Anderson took pictures of her plates before she drove off. Anderson stated that Ratliff returned and started banging on her garage door, attempting to enter. Erica Carter, a witness, corroborated Anderson’s statements and noted that she did not observe a firearm in Ratliff’s hand during the interaction. Ratliff was later taken into custody for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on July 8th.

Tiffany Higgins attacks boyfriend with knife during argument over phone

27-year-old Tiffany Mahalia Higgins had a domestic incident with her boyfriend, Troy Williams, at her Bell Road apartment on June 25th. When officers arrived, Higgins and Williams mentioned an earlier incident that occurred late May 29th. At the time, they were dating and having relationship difficulties. Higgins stated that Williams had come over to her apartment to talk. Williams allegedly took her phone during their conversation, put it in his bag, and tried to leave. This prompted Higgins to attempt to retrieve the phone. Williams then grabbed her hand forcefully, leaving her in pain and causing her to release the bag. Higgins explained that she went to the kitchen, picked up a knife, and held it by her side, intending to intimidate Williams. Higgins noted that she kept the knife at her side the entire interaction. Williams told officers that while they struggled over the bag, Higgins grabbed a knife from the kitchen. Williams stated that she lunged at him in a threatening manner. Williams explained that he only grabbed and squeezed her hand until she dropped the knife. Williams added that he feared getting stabbed during the altercation. Following the altercation, Williams reported that he picked up the knife and used it to damage Higgins’ vehicle. A warrant was issued for Higgins’ arrest on June 26th. Higgins was later taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on July 8th.

DUI: Judith Aldridge crashes car on I-24 West after having 2 whiskey sprites at an “unknown gay bar”

67-year-old Judith Aldridge was involved in a single-vehicle accident on I-24 West on May 26th. Officers arrived and observed Aldridge in a large ditch on the side of the highway. Aldridge told officers that her ribs were sore, but she was okay. Once Aldridge was transported to the back of an ambulance, she refused to be transported to the hospital. This prompted officers to ask her to perform sobriety tests, which she agreed to. After struggling to stand, Aldridge stated that she would prefer to be transported to the hospital instead. While Aldridge was in the ambulance, she told officers that she went to an “unknown gay bar” downtown and had two drinks before she attempted to drive home. After they arrived at the hospital, Aldridge performed sobriety tests and demonstrated multiple indicators of intoxication. Officers then read implied consent and informed Aldridge about her Miranda Rights, which she agreed to. During questioning, Aldridge confessed to drinking two whiskey sprites before driving home. Officers searched Aldridge’s car and found a shooter-sized bottle of Jack Daniels. Aldridge claimed that the bottle was from an earlier instance. Officers then cited her for the violation that night. Aldridge was later booked on the citation of driving under the influence on July 5th.

Genaro Guevara races down Gallatin Pike at 100mph in Camaro LT1, tells police he was “Just Driving”

25-year-old Genaro Tellez Guevara was observed speeding, following another vehicle, appearing to race in his Red Camaro LT1 near the Hart Lane and Gallatin Pike intersection late June 27th. Officers observed them going 100 mph in a 40-mph zone, during which Guevara weaved in and out of traffic, disregarding other drivers. Then, officers caught up to him and conducted a traffic stop. Guevara told police he didn’t know the other driver and that he was “just driving.” Guevara was cited for the incident that day. Guevara was later booked on the citation of drag racing and reckless driving on July 5th.

Wesley Raybon punches security guard at Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar for laughing at him

24-year-old Wesley Raybon was seen being disorderly at Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar on Broadway on July 10th. When officers arrived, they observed security walking Raybon out of the building in handcuffs. Officers spoke with security, who told them that Raybon was disturbing a bartender about vomit next to a trashcan. Security approached Raybon and asked him to leave because he appeared too intoxicated to be on the premises. Raybon then became aggressive, got in their faces, and threw a punch, which struck one of the guards. When officers came into contact with Raybon, he admitted that he swung at one of the guards and hit them. Raybon stated that he only did so because the security guard laughed at him, which made him angry. Raybon was then taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.

18-year-old Danquiz Moore caught with cocaine & handgun during traffic stop

18-year-old Danquiz Moore rode as a passenger in a Hyundai Sonata that the police pulled over on Dickerson Pike near Queen Avenue late July 9th. During the traffic stop, they discovered the driver was 18 years old as they observed several tobacco products throughout the vehicle. Officers then had everyone exit the vehicle and detained them. When officers searched the Hyundai, they discovered a plastic baggie with about 18 grams of marijuana, another baggie with approximately 5 grams of cocaine, and two digital scales. Officers also discovered a Citadel 9mm handgun on the floorboard where Moore was sitting. Additionally, officers found tobacco products in Moore’s pocket. Moore was taken into custody for unlawful drug paraphernalia, underage nicotine possession, two counts of possession with intent, and firearm possession during a dangerous felony on July 10th.

Kevin Guzman assaults boyfriend, damages his belongings during altercation

33-year-old Kevin Guzman was involved in a domestic altercation with his boyfriend, Christian Hernandez, at their Dover Glenn Road apartment on July 6th. When officers made contact with Hernandez, they observed a cut on his forehead. Hernandez told officers that Guzman had started drinking and that he usually got violent while drunk. Hernandez noted that Guzman had previously hit him while intoxicated. Hernandez showed officers his completely broken Samsung phone and stated that Guzman had broken it. Hernandez showed officers his car window and windshield, saying they were also damaged by Guzman. Hernandez stated that Guzman broke his phone, causing them to get into a pushing match, which is when he sustained the cut on his forehead. Guzman was taken into custody for domestic assault and vandalism on July 9th.

Joseph Hough caught selling Miller Lite beer out of cooler in Downtown Nashville

54-year-old Joseph Hough was observed pulling a blue cooler via cameras on 3rd Avenue South and Demonbreun Street on June 30th. Officers recognized him from numerous complaints within the downtown district regarding vending ordinance violations. Then, officers observed four male citizens walking toward him. The men then handed Hough money and received two 12oz Miller Lite beers from inside the cooler. Officers added that a few hours before this, they watched Hough enter DGX and buy the 12-pack of Miller Lite with the intent to resell for profit. Officers also observed Hough throw away the broken-down Miller Lite box. A warrant was issued for his arrest on July 5th. Hough was later taken into custody for two counts of an alcoholic beverage violation on July 6th.

Nicholas Thompson caught with loaded Glock 17 after riding as passenger during car crash

21-year-old Nicholas Thompson rode as a passenger in a vehicle that crashed near Korean Veterans Boulevard and 1st Avenue South on June 10th. After the crash, Thompson and the other occupants exited the car. Officers observed this and approached them, during which they noticed the vehicle reeked of marijuana. Officers then discovered the driver had an outstanding warrant. Officers searched the car and found a backpack in the back left passenger seat, where Thompson was sitting. The backpack contained a fully loaded semi-auto Glock 17. Officers also found several bags of marijuana throughout the car. Under Miranda, Thompson admitted to smoking marijuana about an hour before the crash and claimed the backpack was his. Thompson was then cited for the occurrence that day. Thompson was later booked on the citation of weapon possession while under the influence on July 5th.

Johnny Lawrence caught with stolen gun after lying to police about being a felon

67-year-old Johnny Lawrence believed a group of men were trying to break into his Tanglewood Drive residence late July 9th. Then, he alerted the authorities, telling them he might have to shoot the alleged intruders. Officers arrived, cleared his home, and observed that Lawrence had several handguns on his bed and dresser. Lawrence then told police that he was a felon. After officers checked this, they discovered that one of the handguns had been stolen. Officers also learned that Lawrence was not a felon before he then claimed to own the firearms. Lawrence was then taken into custody for theft of a firearm.
