Tinder date with George Stoddard goes terribly wrong in downtown Nashville

Allison Merriman says she was on a Tinder date late Monday night in downtown Nashville with 52-year-old George Stoddard, and it was their first time meeting in person since finding each other on the app. After a night of being at the bars on Broadway, they shared an Uber back to the Staybridge Suites hotel, where she and some friends were staying while in town this weekend, and where he had left his car parked. During the short ride 1.5 mile ride, she says Stoddard became agitated and jealous, believing she was flirting with the rideshare driver. Once they arrived at the hotel, Stoddard began to physically fight both her and the driver, punching her in the face, and dislocating her pinky finger. One of her friends, who was also staying at the hotel, came downstairs and attempted to break up the fight and kneed and punched Stoddard multiple times until he attempted to flee. As Stoddard got into his own car, he crashed into another vehicle in the parking lot during his attempt to flee the scene. He was charged with both assault and DUI.

45-year-old See Kang is charged with an assault at the Restaurant Depot after police say he had a disagreement with Mina Masoud about their places in the checkout line. The verbal disagreement escalated until Kang grabbed a shopping cart and shoved it into the shoulder of the victim twice, which was confirmed by video footage of the incident. Kang was cited for assault and was booked on the citation this week.

Employee Jon Quest Parker assaults Greyhound Passenger who records his rudeness

A Greyhound bus passenger was upset about a delay in Nashville on July 23rd and was asking staff about being compensated for the delay. 27-year-old employee Jon Quest Parker demanded she step aside and that she would not be getting back on the bus. As she began to record the interaction with her cell phone, Parker became upset and told her she was not allowed to videotape inside the facility as it was against policy. When she refused to stop, Parker called the police, and while waiting for officers to arrive, he walked past the victim in what is described as a “clearly irritated” manner and struck her in the right forearm, purposefully knocking the phone from her hand. He was cited for assault and was booked on that citation this week.

Kira Mercedes Joyner charged after shoplifting, assaulting mall security officer at OpryMills

29-year-old Kira Mercedes McKenzie Joyner was booked this week on outstanding citations from 2020, which she never self-booked on. Police say on December 3rd, 2020, Kira McKenzie Joyner was inside the Hot Topic store at Opry Mills Mall when Mall Security Officer Bailey McCluskey made contact with her as she was reportedly caught shoplifting. As she was being detained and escorted to the mall’s security office, she kicked him on his left leg and began to yell and scream, causing a disturbance to other shoppers in the mall. She was issued state citations for theft and assault and never appeared for them.

Tourist Jordan Jennings charged in assault of Rippy’s Bouncer in downtown Nashville

23-year-old Jordan Jennings is charged with assaulting security guard Phillip Young at Rippy’s Bar in downtown Nashville. The tourist was issued a citation for assault after being told he had to leave the location due to his behavior but eventually convincing staff to let him back inside to use the restroom. While he was in the restroom, bar staff was informing the rest of his party they also needed to leave the location. As Jennings came out of the restroom, he reportedly struck bouncer Phillip Young on his left shoulder, causing him to call a “code black” over the radio — alerting other bouncers to respond to the area. Young says Jordan swung at him as he was being escorted out once again, and after dodging the impact, he struck Jordan with a closed fist to Jordan’s right eyebrow, leaving a small laceration.

Downtown Bouncer Brandon Chapman fell asleep in hotel kitchen — assaults security who woke him

Downtown Nashville bouncer 30-year-old Brandon Chapman, or as he describes himself, a “professional adult chaperone,” was inexplicably found sleeping it off in the kitchen of the Omni Hotel at 3:14 a.m. on Friday, June 29th. Security attempted to wake him up and when he eventually realized where he was at told them he would leave when he was ready. He reportedly then became combative and lunged at the victim, Andrew Delobel, several times and grabbed his jacked, throwing him to the ground. The victim suffered minor injuries from the assault. Chapman was issued a citation and failed to self-book on the assault charge. A bench warrant was then issued for this arrest, and he was taken into custody early Tuesday morning.

MNPD Officer placed “in fear of assault” when Jonathan James puts arms on him on Broadway

Metro Nashville Police Officer Connor Hosey says he was assisting a citizen with taking a photograph just after 2 a.m. on Broadway in downtown Nashville Saturday when 24-year-old Jonathan Pierre James came up and placed his arms around the neck of Hosey. While observers say it looked like horseplay, the Metro Nashville Police officer says he felt in fear of bodily injury and had Officer Caulder place the North Carolina tourist under arrest for assault.

Fort Campbell Soldier Hunter Fairweather kicks bouncer after Broadway Battle Buddy knocks him down

Metro Nashville Police Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville late Saturday night responded to a fight at Nudie’s Honky Tonk on Broadway. They encountered 22-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Hunter Fairweather and his friend, Ironne Coley, who were in an argument with bouncers at the location. Fairweather reportedly kicked the bouncer, Deangelo Ridloy, after Coley knocked him to the ground. Officers documented injuries to the victim and watched a video of the assault.

Tourist Dale Stalley smacks booty of male bouncer at Kid Rock’s bar during disagreement

46-year-old tourist Dale Stalley was told he needed to leave Kid Rock’s bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville early Sunday morning after he was being disorderly at the location. Bouncer Everett Libolt says Stalley smacked him on the ass and told him he wasn’t going anywhere while threatening to fight him. He then got in the bouncer’s face attempting to strike him, and more security helped to detain Stalley.
