Swave Martinez charged after he refused to walk away from fight at Nashville Airport

25-year-old Swave Martinez is charged with disorderly conduct after Airport Police say they responded to two individuals in a fight/physical altercation. After the parties were separated to determine what the issue was, Martinez continued to taunt the other individual while yelling and attempting to continue the fight. Despite multiple opportunities for Martinez to walk away, he ended up being taken into custody and transported to booking.

Grayson Taylor yelled racial slurs, demanded MNPD supervisor, before eventually being arrested at Zanies

23-year-old Grayson Taylor was kicked out of Zanies Comedy Club after he says he drank a half-bottle of wine and a few additional drinks. Club staff report he was restrained by security after he began screaming racial slurs and causing a disturbance to other patrons. Police arrived to help escort him from the property, and while waiting for an Uber he took off his shirt and became more violent and threatening. He refused to get into the Uber when it arrived, and then threatened officers. After they told him he would be placed under arrest, he requested a supervisor respond to the scene.

While waiting on a supervisor to arrive, Taylor called 911 several more times to demand other officers respond, he then walked to another business where he also became a disturbance. They then warned him a few more times to “remain calm” which he refused to do. At some point they took eventually him into custody, charging him with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Grand Jury indicts Sade Harris for more knife & scissor attacks on her lover, Cheyenne Turner

33-year-old Sade Deshay Harris has been indicted by a Davidson County Grand Jury on additional charges related to her continued and repeated assaults on the father of her child, Cheyenne Turner. Last year, a Grand Jury indicted her with aggravated assault and attempted murder after a June 2021incident in which she found him dining with a female at the J. Alexander’s, approached him, asking “so you’re out to eat with a girl?”, before grabbing silverware from a nearby table, chasing him into the parking lot, and stabbing him in the stomach and head with a knife, telling a stranger “I’m finna kill him!”.

The new indictment charges her with 3 new counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon: a November 2020 assault with a knife, a December 2020 assault with a knife, and an April 2021 assault with scissors, all against the same victim, Cheyenne Turner.

Woman demands to be taken to jail when her boyfriend is arrested downtown — Michael Savela & Amanda Lee

Metro Nashville Police say 33-year-old Michael Savela was drunk and shirtless in downtown Nashville Saturday night near 3rd & Demonbreun when they found him after 4 separate individuals called 911 to report he was attempting to fight them and other citizens without any reason. His girlfriend, 35-year-old Amanda Lee, was also intoxicated and demanded to be taken to booking with Michael if he was being arrested, so she could wait for him to be released. In the end, she would get her wish, as she also became so unruly and uncooperative that she became a charge partner, and was arrested for public intoxication.

Ashland City grandfather charged with DUI after leaving American Legion — Bill Krantz

Police say 63-year-old Billy Krantz was passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle on Broadmoor Drive in the early hours of Saturday morning. He told officers he had been dropping off a friend at the home on Broadmoor Drive and had been drinking at the American Legion less than an hour before driving. Krantz performed poorly on field sobriety tests and would only reply “I don’t know” when asked to provide a breath or blood sample for testing.

Josh Sweigert charged with DUI after crashing into another vehicle on Brick Church Pike

Metro Police say 38-year-old Joshua Sweigert crashed into another vehicle on Brick Church Pike in the early hours of Sunday morning, striking their side mirror at a high rate of speed. The victim says he drove his Nissan work van while speeding up to them from behind. Sweigert says it’s all a misunderstanding and the damage to his own vehicle is from three weeks ago, not anything current. Officer say Sweigert was clearly intoxicated — he reeked of alcohol and staggered and stumbled during their interaction. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and refused all further testing.

Billy Prine found drunk on kitchen floor amid broken glass plates, charged with assault of woman

Police responded to a residence on Lake Chateau Drive late Sunday night, where they found “broken glass everywhere” and 68-year-old William ‘Billy’ Prine, the bother of the late John Prine, sitting on the kitchen floor “extremely intoxicated”. He told officers he was just throwing glass plates and fell down. A woman at the residence, Lisa Finkel, said he was throwing the plates in her direction, and she was in fear of being struck with the glass plates. Billy Prine was charged with assault, and transported to booking.

Myia Smith posted her ex-girlfriend’s intimate photos on social media #arrested

22-year-old Myia Smith was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail this weekend on an outstanding warrant from July, charging her with unlawful exposure. Her ex-girlfriend, Ta’Chandria Boggs, says Smith came to her residence to convince her to take her back, offering to return the iPhone she had taken from her previously. After briefly returning the phone, she took it back after a struggle when she was rejected. As she left, she posted private intimate nude photos of Ta’Chandria from the iPhone onto social media.

Tabitha Kirk says she snorted heroin prior to crash on Lebanon Pike

First responders found 39-year-old Tabitha Kirk “not awake and shaking” after she crashed her vehicle on Lebanon Pike. Nashville Fire medics administered two doses of Narcan, at which time Kirk responded and became coherent. She told medical she had snorted heroin prior to the crash. When police arrived, she stated she was afraid of going to jail and wasn’t sure why she crashed or how it happened. She later stated she was seven months sober and didn’t know why she relapsed. She was charged with DUI and driving on a suspended license.

DUI: Biruk Dagnew tells police “OK, I might be drunk”

Police say 32-year-old Biruk Dagnew was “violently swerving” across multiple lanes of traffic on Murfreesboro Pike just after 5 a.m. Saturday. A traffic stop was initiated and Dagnew came out of the car and ignored commands from officers. Inside the car, a 12-pack of beer was in plain view, with six missing beers. He stated “no tests” when asked to perform field sobriety tests, then uttered “OK, I might be drunk” repeatedly. Dagnew was charged with DUI.
