Michael Solomon gets his 7th DUI after crashing into Mazda CX5 while drinking bottle of Jose Cuervo

75-year-old Michael Solomon was involved in a car crash on Robertson Parkway and Interstate Drive on August 10th. It was reported that Solomon, driving in a Volkswagen Jetta, approached stopped traffic and rear-ended a red Mazda CX5. When officers arrived, they observed that Solomon was still in the driver’s seat of his car and that his head was down as if he was sleeping. They also noticed a nearly empty bottle of Jose Cuervo in his passenger seat. Officers’ attempts to wake Solomon showed no results, so paramedics were called, and Solomon was transported to Skyline Medical Center. It was later found that Solomon didn’t have an ignition interlock device in the Volkswagen despite being required to have one and that his license was revoked from prior DUIs. Records show that Solomon had seven prior DUI cases ranging from 2002 to 2022. Solomon was later charged with driving under the influence 7th, open container violation, driving on a revoked license, and ignition interlock violation.
