Tourist Joe Meehan deemed too drunk for downtown Nashville

27-year-old Joe Meehan was jailed after being so drunk on Broadway that when officers told him to throw his beer away, he poured it out and threw the can on the ground in front of them. Officers were flagged down by bouncers at Jason Aldean’s Bar after Meehan refused to leave. When the officers arrived on the scene, Meehan walked outside the bar but would not leave the area. He smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes, and was unsteady on his feet. He was too drunk to tell officers if he was with anyone or where he was staying. Meehan was holding an open beer while he was speaking with officers outside of the bar. When the police told him he needed to throw it away. He emptied it and threw the can on the ground. He was then taken into custody.

Mason Gray Cunningham charged after rowdy behavior in downtown Nashville

24-year-old Mason Gray Cunningham was jailed on April 16th for acting aggressively despite the officer’s command to stop. Police responded to Third Avenue, where they witnessed two men yelling at each other aggressively. Bystanders broke them up, and the police told them both to leave. However, Cunningham didn’t go; he continued to yell and try to fight. He was taken into custody due to the likelihood that his violent and threatening behavior would continue in public.

Kathleen Reishtein Cooper — too drunk to fly in Nashville; Xanax into the jail

70-year-old Kathleen Cooper was jailed on April 14th after being kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight. Police responded and saw Cooper walking unsteadily down the jet bridge to board the flight as well as dropping her bags onto her head while trying to put her luggage into the overhead bins. When police asked her to exit the plane, she refused, so they had all the passengers deboard the plane except for Cooper, who they had to escort off of the aircraft against her will. They could smell alcohol coming from her breath when asking her how much she had to drink. She claimed to have had one cocktail at the restaurant 400 Degrees inside the airport. It was later discovered that Cooper was in possession of 4 and 3 half pills of Xanax without a prescription that she took into booking.

Terrie Sheppard was “feeling the rain” because Bob Marley told her to do it

42-year-old Terrie Sheppard was jailed on April 8th after police found her walking in the middle of Broadway, high on crystal methamphetamine. When police asked her what she was doing, she told them she was “feeling the rain” because Bob Marley said to do so. She told police she wanted to walk in the road to feel the rain better and would continue to do so. Police detained her and found a baggie of meth in her pants pocket. She was charged with disorderly conduct.

Drunken tourist Candace Long kicks officer in face after partying in front of Kid Rock’s bar

32-year-old tourist Candace Long was jailed on April 9th after kicking a police officer in the face. Officers working the Entertainment District Unit saw Candace fall down and hit her head in front of Kid Rocks Hoky Tonk. She was heavily intoxicated, unable to stand independently, and could not form a coherent sentence. When she was in the back of the medic UTV, she became combative. Officers tried to calm her down and explain what was happening when she kicked an officer in the face. She then began swinging wildly and punched an officer in the face causing an injury. Officers were eventually able to restrain Candance and place her in custody.

Tourist Chad Cox whipped it out and was getting pleasured at Whiskey Bent Saloon

42-year-old tourist Chad Cox was in a closed section of Whiskey Bent Saloon early Sunday morning with his pants around his ankles and his wife performing a sexual act on him. Security asked him to pull up his pants and move along, but on the way out, Cox became aggressive and began to shove bouncers, upset about his failed performance. He was extremely intoxicated and was transported to booking and charged with disorderly conduct.

Joseph Hamelin’s wild night at Kid Rock’s Bar in downtown Nashville

28-year-old Joseph Hamelin was at Kid Rock’s bar in downtown Nashville Thursday night, where he was extremely intoxicated and throwing things at other patrons. Security made contact with him and asked him to leave, a request he refused. A second bouncer soon arrived, and he was escorted to the stairwell, where he fell to dead weight and refused to move. He assumed the fetal position and told bouncers he wasn’t going anywhere, but “y’all can take me wherever.” He was handcuffed, and police were called to transport him to night court. While in the back of the patrol car, he vomited, earning him another charge. Once inside booking, Hamelin told his friend, who was also in booking, “I puked in that fucking dude’s car!”

Naked and not afraid — Just say no to drugs: Selena Archer arrested

21-year-old Selena Archer was jailed on April 4th after trying to break into someone’s home and completely undressing herself in the front yard before she left the property. Police responded to the complainant, who told them that a black female was pushing and pulling on her door, trying to get in, and that she rang the door about 20 times. Officers canvased the area and saw Archer walking towards them fully unclothed. They asked her what was happening, and she said, “Just take me to jail.” Officers arrested Archer for public indecency. When they asked for her name, she gave them several names and birthdays. She was mumbling and slurring her speech; officers believed she was under the influence of narcotics. Archer was arrested for several charges and transported to booking, where she ended up providing her social security number and was able to be identified.

Father brawls with cops over son’s arrest at Kid Rock’s Bar — John Stone

50-year-old John Stone and his son were at Kid Rock’s Bar in downtown Nashville Saturday when they caused a commotion, demanding that another patron be removed from the bar. As they yelled and screamed, Metro Nashville Officers took notice of them and began to take the son into custody for his disruptive behavior. John Stone saw his son being detained. He approached the officers and placed his hands on an officer’s chest and grabbed his vest in an attempt to pull him away. Officers took John Stone to the ground, where he continued to resist, but eventually took him into custody. A search revealed a handgun in his possession, and he was extremely intoxicated.
