Elijah Carter charged after making threats during child custody exchanges with mother of his child

On April 14th, Deseante Horton went to pick up her child from the father, 23-year-old Elijah Carter, at which time she says he began yelling that she was not taking his child back, and he then threatened to smack and beat her, she says. She retrieved the child and once outside of the home, Carter reportedly retrieved a handgun and placed her in fear as she fled. On April 20th, Elijah came to her home to exchange the child, and when she refused to give him the child due to the prior incident, he reportedly texted her that if she didn’t bring the child out he would shoot up her house.

Tyre Grannemann booked on 2020 domestic assault warrant

25-year-old Tyre Grannemann was jailed this week on an outstanding warrant from 2020 charging him with domestic assault. Despite his then-girlfriend, Jilliane Forney, telling police she didn’t want to prosecute and was only filing the report to justify breaking her lease, officers were still bound to act on the report of the assault and issue the warrant. She told police Tyre had been drinking with friends and returned home, and they got into a scuffle with pillows which she says escalated into him slapping and grabbing her neck, strangling her. She provided police with photos of redness in the shape of a handprint, and they observed a small bruise on her arm.

Aaron Shelby puts his hand in a bouncer’s mouth and pulls “like a fishhook” after a “what’s up blood” greeting

Jesse Culpepper was working as a security guard in downtown Nashville Thursday night when 33-year-old Aaron Shelby walked up behind him, said “what’s up blood”, then reached around and placed his finger in Culpepper’s mouth “in a fishhook manner” and began to pull. Culpepper used a foot sweep to take him to the ground, at which point Shelby bit the inside of the bouncer’s thigh twice, and spit in his face. Culpepper was missing some flesh after the wild attack. Shelby was cuffed and detained by Culpepper and transferred to the custody of officers, who he then pelted with racial slurs throughout his interaction.

Makenzzie Mayberry uses soda bottle to assault motel mate who slept with her fiance

18-year-old Makenzzie Mayberry is charged with the domestic assault of her roommate at the Lotus Inn and Suites, who she says had sex with her fiance. A witness to the events, who is Mayberry’s cousin, tells police they all returned to the motel on April 24 after a day of arguing and fighting about the entanglement. Mayberry then threw a small plastic soda bottle at the victim, Keana Jonson, striking her in the center of the forehead, causing a small laceration. Nashville Fire transported the victim to the hospital and Metro Police took Mayberry into custody for the assault.

Jerock Walker continues county jail tour, now transferred to Nashville on domestic assault charges & probation violation

22-year-old Jerock Walker has been now been transferred to the Metro Nashville Jail to face his Nashville charges as he continues his year-long tour of middle Tennessee jails. The current charges for Nashville include two new warrants from January of 2021, charging him with two counts of domestic assault of his then roommates, Tatianna Johnson and Ke’maurius Wright. He reportedly told both parties they better pack their things or he would pack them for them. During an escalating argument, Jerock grabbed Tatianna and forcibly pulled her out of the home, and did the same to Ke’maurius while assaulting him. Jerock has been covered multiple prior times for theft, retail theft, domestic assaults, stealing from his grandmother, and a multitude of other petty crimes. In addition to the new charges, he has a probation violation and two failures to appear, bringing his total bond amount for Nashville to $26,000 and a probation hold.

Dameneke Charles charged with punching her boyfriend in the face twice during an argument

Donavan Morton Carr tells police his 25-year-old girlfriend, Dameneke Charles punched him in the face twice during an argument on April 25th. He was able to push her out of the way and escape to the downstairs area of the apartment, where he met with the police. Officers arrived and documented a busted lip on the Donavan Carr and some blood from a cut inside his mouth. 

She unplugged his Xbox, she grabbed his genitals — He went to jail: Isaiah Cooke

22-year-old Isaiah Cooke reportedly struck the mother of his child in the back of her head after she unplugged his Xbox as a motivation to help her pack things so they could leave. After he assaulted her in the head, she then grabbed his genitals in what she says was “self-defense”, and in reaction, he reportedly elbowed her in the nose. Cooke says she only yanked the controller from him and that he simply pulled her to the ground by her hair.

Audria Denning charged after bringing her ‘girl squad’ to assault her ex-lover & his prized car

20-year-old Audria Marie Denning was jailed this week after she, accompanied by her two juvenile sisters, appeared at the home of her ex-boyfriend, Nesseam Alidani, six weeks after the breakup. She reportedly learned he had a new girlfriend and brought her girl squad to damage and dent his car. She then called and told him to come outside and look at his car, at which time all three girls attacked him. The victim states he was able to avoid being injured by deflecting the multiple and repeated hits with his arms.

At dinner, man tells wife he’s staying with a different woman for the night — Joey Ryder arrested

Megan Ryder says she and her husband, 26-year-old Joey Ryder, were attending a convention at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Nashville this week when they had dinner at the Cinco De Mayo restaurant nearby and he disclosed he wanted to stay with a different woman for the night. The suggestion was not taken well by his wife, and she ended up outside the restaurant, where he reportedly snuck up behind her and asked if she was OK, as she now refused to leave with him. He reportedly “scooped her up like a child” and stuffed her into the passenger seat of his vehicle, while becoming more aggressive and forceful. She says he pushed her head into the window three times, and then pushed her into the radio. She convinced him to let her out at the Best Western on Division Street where she called the police while he stood beside her.

Lindsay-Ray Millard charged after assaulting husband at an intersection while he was driving

Jonathon Ballard was driving himself and his wife, 34-year-old Lindsay-Ray Christine Millard, home after being out at multiple bars on April 20th, when he says she “lashed out” after being triggered by an event from earlier in the night and violently attacked him at an intersection. Polie documented injuries to include multiple cuts and dried blood on the victim. The investigation also revealed she had an outstanding warrant for violating an active order of protection from sending him an email in February after being served.
