Joseph Puckett punches brother-in-law, tells police he was helping him to their hotel room

37-year-old Joseph Ronald Puckett fought with his brother-in-law, Franklin Denison, at Holston Hotel around midnight on May 18th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Denison, who had blood all over him, telling them that he fell due to being “extremely intoxicated,” claiming that no scuffle occurred. Then, when officers spoke with Puckett, he stated he was helping Denison to their hotel room. Officers noticed he had minor abrasions on his knuckles, consistent with striking something or someone. A witness told police that he observed Puckett punch Denison multiple times in the elevator as the door was opening. After detaining Puckett, they searched him and found two different Adderall pills in an unmarked pill bottle. Puckett was taken into custody for two counts of simple possession and domestic assault. Franklin Denison was also arrested for the same incident that night.
