Tyree Watson jailed after strangling & sexually assaulting woman on his boat

42-year-old Tyree Watson was caught after sexually assaulting and strangling a woman while at the Four Corners Resort and Marina on LaVerne Couchville Pike on September 7th. Officers were contacted by staff for a woman who was hiding, saying that someone, later identified as Watson, had attempted to kill her the night before. When officers arrived on the scene, the victim stated that she was strangled and raped by Watson. The victim was taken to the hospital and spoke with officers there. She reported that the night before, she met Watson and exchanged numbers. She stated that Watson had invited her to a party at the dock. According to the victim, she agreed to use the restroom on Watson’s boat while at the party. However, after entering the boat and being shown the bathroom, she changed her mind and turned to leave. At that point, Watson allegedly locked the door, stood between her and the exit, and threatened to kill her. The victim claims that this was when she asked why before Watson had put her in a chokehold and threw her to the ground. This was when she attempted to crawl away, but Watson had drug her back and began strangling her with his hands. After a while, he stopped, and she got up, but he allegedly told her to remove her clothes.

The victim informed officers that she was in fear for her life, so she complied. Watson then ordered her to get on the bed. When she did, Watson sexually assaulted her. The victim also claimed during this, Watson had struck her in the back several times, which caused her to black out. When she woke up, she noticed that Watson was asleep behind her. However, he woke up when she got up and attempted to leave. She then fled from the location. Watson was also observed on camera leaving the facility and was identified using the rental records for the slip the houseboat was in. Officers observed numerous injuries to the victim that were consistent with what happened to her. A warrant was later issued, and Watson was taken into for aggravated rape, strangulation, and aggravated kidnapping on September 8th.

Frank Cabrera rapes woman & steals her car after

41-year-old Frank Cabrera was taken into custody for aggravated burglary, aggravated rape, sexual battery, and two counts of theft on June 6th. On May 26th, a woman reported that she was sexually assaulted by a male she knew as “Juan,” later identified as Cabrera. She stated that she met him at 404 Bar & Grill, and they went to her apartment building to hang out in her vehicle in a public space. Before they left, she said he had his friend grab his phone from a red Toyota Tundra.

Once at the apartment complex, he asked for a beer, so she went to get it for him because she did not want him to enter her unit, but Cabrera came in anyway, picked her up, put her on the countertop while groping her breasts and removing her bra. After she told him she did not want to do that, he threw her onto her bed, removed her pants, and penetrated her vagina with his fingers until she ripped off his necklace and strangled him with a charging cable until he stopped.

When he left, she locked the door behind him. While she prepared for a shower, Cabrera re-entered her apartment looking for his necklace, which was when she told him to leave. She grabbed her phone and started to call the police, so he fled and took her car keys and purse. Footage from the apartment building corroborated her statements, showing him entering her car and driving away. Her car was recovered at a nearby gas station, with cameras showing him parking at the pump and going to the Lowe’s parking lot, wandering to the loading dock until he was picked up in a red Toyota Tundra. The location had private license plate readers, which showed the Tundra being registered to Cabrera. Warrants were issued for his arrest on June 5th. He was later detained for the incident.

Cody Duffy jailed after sharing nude photos of his ex-girlfriend, pretending to be her online

32-year-old Cody Duffy shared intimate photos of his ex-girlfriend on social media platforms, particularly Reddit and Bumble, without her consent on October 1st, 2023. On February 18th, 2024, she reported the occurrence, advising officers that she and Duffy had ended their relationship. Because of this, Duffy gained access to her social media without permission and shared inappropriate pictures. Duffy did this by posing as her, requesting sex, and sharing her phone number. Then, after she told numerous people that the account was not hers and had them removed, she tried to talk with Duffy. During their conversation, he sent her one of her nude photos from one of her social media accounts that she never showed him. A warrant was issued for his arrest on May 1st, 2024. Duffy was taken into custody for unlawful exposure on May 22nd, 2024.

Darrell Payne sexually assaults woman in tent, says she came in his tent to “Get warm”

52-year-old Darrell Payne inappropriately touched a female on April 21st. She alerted the authorities, advising them she went to Payne’s tent to hang out. She stated this is where Payne put his hands up her shirt, groping her breasts, to which she told him to stop. Then, Payne put his hands down her pants and rubbed her vagina over her underwear. In response to this, she pushed Payne away and left the tent. Officers then Mirandized Payne, under which he stated she came to his tent to “get warm” and that she got in his bed for that purpose. He added that any “contact with her intimate parts” was accidental. Payne told officers that he thought of her as a daughter and would never “sexually assault” her. He later disclosed that he is on the sex offender registry due to similar allegations. Officers conducted a follow-up and discovered he had pleaded guilty to a domestic abuse-related sexual battery in Rutherford County. Payne was taken into custody for sexual battery on May 2nd.
