23-year-old Mackenze Hedstrom was caught stealing from the Lowes on Old Hickory Boulevard on June 21st. When officers arrived, Lowes employees informed officers that Hedstrom was leaving on foot. When officers detained Hedstrom, they discovered she had a warrant, so she was taken into custody. Upon searching Hedstrom, officers found a baggie in her purse containing a white powdery substance consistent with narcotics. Officers again spoke with employees and discovered that Hedstrom had been stealing from the establishment since May. After an interview with Hedstrom, she admitted to stealing and signed a confession to the crime. The money that went missing was over $2,691.

The loss prevention manager for the Harbor Freight Tools on Lebanon Pike contacted authorities, stating that $10,992 was stolen from the store between February 2nd and March 21st. The store provided officers with video footage of multiple incidents showing Hedstrom, a former employee, taking money from the cash drawer.
