DUI: Nashville Content Creator ‘Funsize Velen’ blows double BAC limit — Velen Lemus arrested

24-year-old Velen Lemus, who is a Nasvhille area content creator for various platforms, including her ‘Funsize Velen’ persona, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail earlier this month, charged with DUI – driving under the influence. Police say she was speeding and driving erratically, and eventually ran a red light in Goodlettsville, where a traffic stop was conducted. She told police she was on her way home to Ashland City, but wasn’t sure where she was at, or a correct way to get to her destination. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests, and blew a 0.163 BAC on the breathalyzer, more than twice the legal limit in Tennessee. Officers also found she had a prior DUI in 2019 in Rutherford County and is required to have an alcohol interlock device on her vehicle, which she did not have. She was charged with DUI 2nd offense and is free on pre-trial release.

Tourist attempts to use debit card as a phone to call a friend — Camron Siener too drunk for Nashville

Metro Nashville Police arrived at the Kimpton Aertson Hotel in downtown Nashville to find 27-year-old Camron Siener unconscious on the couch in the lobby. Once he was awakened, he admitted to not being a guest at this specific hotel, and repeatedly stated he was actually staying at “12 and Myself”. Officers escorted him off the property at the request of the hotel and attempted to direct him to an Uber to get to his correct hotel. A few moments later, Siener returned back inside the lobby claiming he was, in fact, staying here, and gave them names of several friends who were also registered at the location. The front desk confirmed that neither he, nor any of his friends, were registered at this hotel. Police asked him one last time to contact someone to come get him. Siener then pulled out a debit card and began to use it as a cell phone, in an apparent attempt to phone a friend. Officers eventually determined he was too intoxicated for his own safety and transported him to booking, where he was charged with public intoxication.

DUI: Man has 5 drinks at downtown bar before crashing car on way home — Bohlt Hamrick 0.166 BAC

23-year-old Bohlt Hamrick told police he had around 5 drinks at a #DowntownNashville bar Wednesday night, a mix of both beer and liquor, before he began the drive home. Police and medics would find him extremely intoxicated in a crashed car on Riverbank Drive, where a home security camera captured him speeding down Stone Hall Blvd, striking a curb, and coming to rest in the intersection. He told police he “was just driving home” in the neighborhood, however, he lives in a neighborhood approximately 8 miles away. After field sobriety tests, Hamrick submitted to a breathalyzer, where he blew a 0.166 BAC – over double the legal limit. He was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail, charged with DUI / driving under the influence. He is free on pre-trial release.

North Carolina tourist drunk and fighting in downtown Nashville — Nathan James Alderman arrested

24-year-old Nathan Alderman, from North Carolina, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail after police found him in downtown Nashville standing over another person who he was fighting, and wasn’t letting the person get up off the ground. Officers commanded him to step away so the situation could de-escalate but he refused and would not obey any commands from police. Due to his extreme level of intoxication, he was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Nashville man says he sold his soul to Luke Bryan… in arrangement to harm President Joe Biden — Jason Lind

37-year-old Jason Lind, who we covered last week after his outburst at Best Buy, is now being held on a federal warrant in the Metro Nashville Jail, after he called the FBI and told them he had sold his soul to Luke Bryan and would commit treason for him, including getting on a plane and carrying out a specific threat to President Joe Biden. He explained he was simply waiting on Luke Bryan to give him the orders.

Man transports friend who shot himself in downtown Nashville on bird scooter to hotel, hides gun — Corey Oakes arrested

25-year-old tourist Corey Oakes, from Kentucky, is charged with tampering with evidence and public intoxication after he carried his friend, who shot himself in the leg in downtown Nashville while drinking, on a bird scooter back to the Cambria hotel and parked him at the entrance while he returned to their room upstairs to hide the gun. When police responded to the shooting call at the hotel they located the victim and Oakes, who was extremely intoxicated, and admitted his friend “may have possibly shot himself” and admitted to returning the gun to their room. Oakes is free on pre-trial release.

Live Nation executive over Ascend Amphitheater charged with DUI — Brian Traeger arrested

41-year-old Brian Traeger, who is president of Live Nation’s Tennessee Bureau, told police he was completely at fault for hitting a parked car while driving his blue Audi A4 Saturday evening in Nashville, claiming he was texting and driving when the accident occurred. Officer say they smelled alcohol coming from Traeger’s breath, and that he was swaying and slurring his words during the interaction. When asked to perform field sobriety tests, Traeger reportedly agreed initially, then retracted his compliance and stated “just take a blood draw because it’s the most accurate”. Traeger was transported to Metro General Hospital for a blood draw and then to the Metro Nashville Jail, where he was charged with driving under the influence. He is free on pre-trial release.

Nashville Nurse found pantsless & shoeless; too drunk for downtown Nashville — Noah Wallis

23-year-old Noah Wallis was found pantsless and shoeless in a downtown Nashville parking lot in the middle of the afternoon on Saturday. Metro Nashville Police report he was sitting between two vehicles, one of which he had vomited on and caused a large dent in the side of, all while officers noted he “didn’t seem to notice he was missing his shoes and pants”, which were later found thrown in nearby bushes. Wallis stated he had “drank way too much and was just drunk”. He was charged with vandalism and public intoxication, and transported to booking. He is free on pre-trial release.

Soldier gets disorderly during downtown brawl when he’s called a “p**sy”, he says — Jose Arellano arrested

27-year-old U.S. Army Soldier Jose Arellano was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Saturday night after police say he was involved in a brawl with multiple other individuals, including other soldiers, near 2nd Ave & Broadway in downtown Nashville. Court records show he told officers he was upset that one of the other brawlers had “called him a p**sy” after which he became confrontational and attempted to provoke another fight and had to be held/pulled back by officers and other individuals. He continued to be combative and was eventually taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct. Arellano is free on pre-trial release.

Man charged with public intoxication after breaking man’s nose at Jason Aldean’s bar — Phillip Pate

22-year-old Phillip Pate was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Saturday, where he was only charged with public intoxication. Police initially responded to Jason Aldean’s bar in downtown Nashville, where Pate says he was pushed by another patron, Richard Frederick Randall. Pate then punched him in the face, breaking his nose and sending him to the hospital for treatment. Police could not locate any witnesses or bouncers who were willing to come forward as a witness, and the victim was at the hospital, so Pate was charged with public intoxication, booked into jail, and released after eight hours with all charges dismissed.
