18-year-old Chayston Taylor surrendered to Metro Nashville SWAT Team negotiators Friday after pulling both a .357 pistol and his grandfather’s 16-gauge shotgun on his mother, Sharika Taylor, and her boyfriend, Phillip Hamilton. He reportedly told her she was going to die and he was going to “blow her brains out”. When Hamilton stated “never point a gun at your momma”, Chayston told him he had 5 rounds and he was going to fire them. Once Taylor barricaded himself in a bedroom and police resources arrived on-scene, the two victims were able to escape the home.

Texas tourist charged with assault of wife at Nashville Airport — Aaron Godwin
36-year-old Aaron Vance Godwin was seen at the Nashville Internation Airport striking his wife, Jessica Donnelli. Multiple witnesses and video confirmed the assault. She told officers that he was “just angry because they were late for their flight”, and asked that police not prosecute due to his history of PTSD. Godwin was transported to booking and charged with domestic assault.
Jada Gober & Shantell Banks charged in brutal TSU campus brawl in front of campus police
Campus police responded to a fight at TSU’s Ford Residential Complex, where 6 females reportedly attacked Nona Boyd because she had moved into the complex three weeks ago and was living with Cyndee Arnold, which was against the rules. As police arrived and attempted to determine what was happening, and who was involved, Jada Gober initially pointed to other parties involved and indicated who was fighting, including another person leaving in a vehicle, Octavian Williams. During the absolute madness and confusion, 20-year-old Jada Gober approached officers and struck Nona Boyd in the face, and another fight erupted with the pair falling to the ground. Police separated these two when 20-year-old Shantell Banks ran from the parking lot and attacked Nona Boyd from behind, striking and kicking her, leaving her injured and bruised.
Donna Robinson’s alcohol tolerance met its match in Downtown Nashville
35-year-old Donna Robinson was charged with public intoxication after police say she was walking on the sidewalk near 3rd & Broadway in downtown Nashville then suddenly began running into the roadway screaming and displaying erratic behavior. Officers attempted to calm her down but she seem to become increasingly intoxicated and was unable to stand on her own and reeked of alcohol.
Oscar Garcia says wife bashed her own head into a tree, despite witnesses watching him punch her
Police say 31-year-old Oscar Garcia told his wife, Julia Hernandez, he was going to drive to Atlanta, and she told him he should not because he was drunk. Unhappy with her response, Garcia reportedly pushed her multiple times and asked to use her phone, as he had broken his. When she refused to provide her phone, he then landed two punches to her face with his fists before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. He returned to the residence while police were taking the incident report and claimed his wife bashed her own head into a tree, despite there being multiple witnesses to the assault.
DUI: Charles Rhodes arrested again, this time with his pants down in a parking garage
Two weeks after Nashville Police encountered a rowdy 44-year-old Charles Rhodes arguing about a lost wallet at the Tin Roof Bar, they found him in the parking garage of 70 Music Square West, standing outside his car with his pants halfway down. Officer Dallas Johnson says when Rhodes noticed his patrol car he jumped inside his own vehicle and backed up nearly striking the police vehicle. He would eventually fail field sobriety tests and be charged with DUI.
Canadian TikToking Trucker Samuel Plourde found drunk and lying in roadway; laughed when asked how much he drank
24-year-old Canadian Trucker Samuel Plourde, who has a substantial following on Tiktok, was found lying in the middle of the right turn lane of Woodland Street just after 4 a.m. Thursday. Nashville Police say he reeked of an “extreme odor” of alcohol, and just laughed uncontrollably when asked how much he had to drink. DUI: Miles McClain blows 0.154% BAC on a breathalyzer, says he didn’t drink that night
32-year-old Miles McClain told police he had not consumed any alcohol when they asked him during a traffic stop after they observed his vehicle swerving and driving in the bicycle lanes in East Nashville. Despite his assertion, he would later blow a 0.154% BAC on a breathalyzer, nearly double the legal limit in Tennessee.
