21-year-old Jason Phillips jumped off the pedestrian bridge and into the Cumberland River just before 1 a.m. Sunday. Metro Nashville Police observed him swimming to the West shore near Broadway and 1st Ave S., and allowed him to be cleared by NFD medics before taking him into custody for public intoxication. Police say he still reeked of alcohol, had slurred speech, and had very dilated pupils.

Shane Ryan Antista jailed after fighting & yelling racial slurs at Kid Rock’s Bar during CMAFest
Just after 1 a.m. Saturday, Metro Nashville Police responded to Kid Rock’s Bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville, where they encountered 39-year-old Shane Antista attempting to fight patrons while shouting obscenities and yelling racial slurs. Due to his extreme level of intoxication, and his own safety, he was taken into custody and transported to booking.
Dawid Lacki deemed too drunk to care for himself in downtown Nashville #CMAFest
A citizen noticed that 31-year-old Dawid Lacki had fallen and injured himself on 3rd Ave South in downtown Nashville Saturday and alerted a nearby officer. When approached, the man refused medical treatment and insisted he was fine, however, he appeared too intoxicated to be left on his own. He was deemed to be a hazard to himself and transported to booking.
Terrelle Butler charged in theft of vehicle in East Nashville
19-year-old Terrelle Butler is free on a $15,000 bond after he was found driving a stolen 2018 Jeep Compass in East Nashville on June 8th. He was initially observed driving the vehicle by police the day prior to his arrest. At the time he was taken into custody he had just exited the vehicle, discarded the keys, and had entered an apartment on Porter Road.
Dhasia Holliday slaps girlfriend, who tossed her phone charger from moving vehicle
21-year-old Dhasia Holliday had picked up her girlfriend, Sinqueta Davis, after her vehicle broke down, and the two began arguing while in the vehicle. At some point, the argument escalated when Dhasia, who was driving, struck her partner in the face. Dhasia then noticed an officer on the side of the road conducting a traffic stop and pulled in behind the officer and parked. Dhasia told police that Sinqueta there her phone charger out of the window, which is why she slapped her in the face.
Jaylon Battle charged with domestic assault after attack on his father
Police encountered 19-year-old Jaylon Battle walking in the roadway of Dicerkson Pike near I-65, and he stated he was walking home from the hospital, as he was transported there earlier in the evening for a suspected episode of “excited delirium” and was now discharged. The officer gave him a ride back to his father’s residence, where he lives after he assured him there would be no issues with returning home. He immediately began aggressively pounding on the door and charged his father when the door opened, making threats to kill him. The officer was able to detain Jaylon and took him into custody for domestic assault.
Denise Carmona charged after breaking glass out of back door of ex-boyfriend’s home
Jonathon Allen says his ex-girlfriend, 31-year-old Denise Carmona, came to his Lebanon Pike residence on June 9th and knocked on the door until his roommate, Harley Parker, answered. She was verbally aggressive with Harley so he called the door and contacted the police when she wouldn’t leave. As he was on the phone with 911, Carmona reportedly went to the back of the home and began to beat on the glass of the back door until it shattered, causing approximately $500 in damages. She was still at the property when officers arrived and they took her into custody for the vandalism and transported her to Metro General Hospital for treatment of her injured hands from the glass shards prior to booking her into jail.
Two dead, two injured in shooting Cambridge at Hickory Hollow Apartments in Antioch
Metro Nashville Police responded to Cambridge at Hickory Hollow Apartments at 660 Bell Road just after 10 p.m. Saturday night after residents reported “a hundred rounds” of gunfire at the pool area during a party. Witnesses report one group approached another and after an exchange of gunfire, police say two males were dead and two females are injured. #developing
Nicholas Conrad walks away from DUI crash, asks officers if he can just “sleep it off?”
29-year-old Nicholas Conrad crashed his vehicle on Ellington Parkway early Wednesday morning and then began walking down the roadway away from the scene. Officers located him as they were responding to the call, near Broadmoor Drive & Ellington Parkway. He reportedly reeked of alcohol and was very unsteady on his feed. In his possession, while walking, were not only the keys to his Nissan Versa, but he also brought the owner’s manual along for the walk. Though Conrad refused all field sobriety testing, he admitted he “made a mistake” and asked officers if he could just “sleep it off?”
Unhoused man assaults Downtown Partnership employee on 4th Ave — Dustin Tomasso
An ambassador with the Nashville Downtown Partnership was checking on the well-being of 38-year-old Dustin Tomasso, who was on a sidewalk in downtown Nashville. Tomasso, who is unhoused, became hostile during the interaction and made aggressive motions toward the downtown employee, Michael Dean Henderson, and was spitting on him. As officers noticed the incident unfolding nearby, they began to approach and witnessed Tomasso chest bump Henderson and begin to assault him, including punching him in the head. Nearby citizens took Tomasso to the ground as officers approached.
