25-year-old Braquece Smith, from Texas, now faces a felony charge in Nashville after police initially charged him with public intoxication after he was extremely intoxicated and had urinated near 4th & Broadway. Once at booking, deputies found a white powdery substance, suspected to be drugs, on him. Smith was additionally charged with bringing contraband into a jail, which is a felony in Tennessee.

Bond set at $10,500 for woman cashing two forged checks worth $650 — Samantha Brady arrested
25-year-old Samantha Brady is charged with two felony counts of forgery and attempted theft after attempting to cash two checks, one for $250, and another for $400, at Tennessee Quick Cash on Nolensville Pike Tuesday. Employees discovered both checks were stolen and forged and contacted police while she was still in the lobby. Police arrived and she confessed to attempting to cash the forged checks. Bond was set at $10,500.
Man who leaped onto the field during Titans game booked on his citations — Tanner Sawyer
25-year-old Tanner Sawyer self-booked on his citation charges this week, stemming from his trek across the field of Nissan Stadium during the Titans game on January 2nd against Miami. Sawyer was cited for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct after says he leaped onto the field and ran across it after several other fans in his section “dared him” to do it. Police declared it was a “great annoyance to spectators”.
Man charged with giving child cocaine, raping her, hiding her from police — Da’Sean Hancock (D William Hancock)
26-year-old Da’Sean William Hancock (D. William Hancock) is now jailed on felony aggravated kidnapping, aggravated statutory rape, and child endangerment charges. Police say they located him at his Nob Hill apartment with a 13-year-old child, who he hid in a closet when she tried to escape, realizing police had arrived. Police say he gave the child marijuana and cocaine until she felt “high and numb” and raped her twice. A friend of the child assisted the police in the rescue of the child. Hancock remains jailed on an $85,000 bond.
Nashville man deposits fake $100K check into his business bank account — David White arrested
Metro Nashville Police say 24-year-old David White opened an account in 2019 with what is now First Horizon Bank under the business name “David Deals R Done, Inc.” and soon after deposited a check in the amount of $100,425.00. The check turned out to be counterfeit, and he had already withdrawn $4,800 before the fake check was discovered. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was booked into custody Tuesday. White is free on pre-trial release.
Tourist tells hotel staff what they can suck & then pulls a gun; upset over room — Bryce Barlow $25K Bond
28-year-old Bryce Barlow now faces 3 felony charges after he arrived at the Grand Hyatt Nashville hotel Tuesday heavily intoxicated and telling staff members precisely what they could suck, then taking out his weapon and threatening to shoot them. Barlow was reportedly upset he was given a room with two queen beds instead of a single king.
Barlow was released after 4 hours in booking, on a $25,000 bond.
Nashvillian charged with being too drunk in downtown Nashville — Alex Painter arrested
35-year-old Alex Painter was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Saturday night after police say he was on Broadway getting into multiple verbal and physical altercations with other citizens on the street and at nearby bars. Police were unable to locate anyone to care for him, and he was unable to care for himself.
Painter was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.
Tourist too drunk for FGL House Bar — Dakota Jorge Veroy charged with public intoxication
27-year-old Dakota Jorge Veroy was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Saturday night after he refused to leave the FGL House bar in downtown Nashville after being escorted out at least once earlier in the evening for being disruptive. He became combative with security and was eventually taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.
Woman pulls out tampon, uses it to assault paramedic in ambulance — Seairra Reiter
24-year-old Seairra Reiter was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Sunday on multiple outstanding warrants charging from a prior incident during which she was transported via ambulance. Police say she became aggressive with EMS personnel and was kicking and spitting on them.
Once in the back of the ambulance she removed her tampon and used it to assault one of the paramedics.
DUI: Man says he hit a pothole… Officers say he was drunk — Olaoluwa Faparusi arrested
Officers found 23-year-old Olaoluwa “Laolu” Faparusi inside his disabled vehicle on Woodmont Blvd when officers approached to offer assistance. Faparusi told officers he had hit a pothole and was waiting on roadside assistance. Officers noticed front and back tire damage, along with a damaged mirror that Faparusi was unable to explain.
He eventually admitted to having a Sake drink before driving and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He is charged with DUI.
