Eli Sherrill charged with underage handgun & alcohol possession in downtown Nashville

Citizens called police to report teenagers were firing pellets from a water pellet gun at random people in downtown Nashville late Friday night. Officers located one of the teens, 18-year-old Eli Sherrill, in a parking garage at 314 Church Street. It was determined Eli’s truck was parked in the garage, and as officers approached, they could see the handle of an actual handgun under a tire in the bed of the truck; it was loaded with a round in the chamber. Showdown at Juicy Seafood in Antioch — Linda Edouard pulls a gun on ex’s baby mamma

23-year-old Linda Edouard was jailed this week on an outstanding warrant charging her with an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon at Juicy Seafood in Antioch. The warrant alleges that in November, Linda pushed up against Tanesha Jenkins, who was at the restaurant with her four-year-old daughter. Jenkins says Linda put a hard object against her back. As Jenkins was leaving the location, an argument ensued, and as they were both exiting, Linda reportedly pulled a gun from her waistband, pointed it at the victim, and threatened to shoot her. The child’s father, who is Linda’s ex-boyfriend, witnessed the incident.

Soldier Tyler Rakar pleads and cries to not be arrested for his drunken antics in downtown Nashville

26-year-old soldier Tyler Rakar was kicked out of Whiskey Row late Friday night in downtown Nashville. After being removed, an officer met him outside and attempted to get him a ride home due to his extreme level of intoxication. As he pretended to call for a ride on his cell phone, he moved away from officers and attempted to re-enter Whisky Row by forcing his way through the exit doors. Rakar began to plead and cry not to be arrested and was staggering when attempting to stand. He was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

You can’t drunkenly sleep half-naked on the street — Tyler Carmichael arrested

26-year-old Tyler Carmichael was found partially naked and unconscious at the entrance of the parking garage at 501 Commerce at 3:16 a.m. Sunday. Officers were eventually able to arouse Carmichael, who was extremely intoxicated. A witness stated he had been on the ground approximately fifteen minutes prior to the officer’s arrival, and a vehicle almost ran over him. He was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Collin Erdman cried and begged not to be arrested for DUI — he was walking

26-year-old Collin Erdman was found on the streets of downtown Nashville in the early hours of Sunday morning, where he says his roommate had just dropped him off to avoid a DUI. When officers encountered him, Erdman had just thrown his cell phone, which struck a random woman and caused her lip to bleed. He was reportedly extremely intoxicated and kept crying and begging not to be charged with DUI (despite being on foot). The woman refused to press charges, and Erdman was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Michael Farmer — too drunk for downtown Nashville

Patrons near Jason Aldean’s Bar flagged down officers working the Entertainment District late Saturday night to alert them that a very drunken 27-year-old Michael Farmer was staggering around and pulling on random door handles. Officers made contact with Farmer, who was typing random letters into his phone while staggering. He was described as incoherent, with slurred speech and repeated words and phrases. As he was being taken into custody, he was unable to sit upright in the back of a patrol car. He claimed to have only consumed 2-3 alcoholic drinks.

Gary Rob Brown believes cop is Taylor swift, wants to kiss him in downtown Nashville

Cookeville’s 50-year-old Gary Rob Brown was kicked out of Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge on Broadway in downtown Nashville in the early morning hours of Feb 1 for disorderly behavior. He then sat on the sidewalk directly in front of the business, blocking patrons, and refused to move. Metro Nashville Police Officers arrived and only received nonsensical responses to questions they asked him. Brown repeatedly called officer Maximillian Goldberg “Taylor Swift” and “Steve Jobs” and stated he wanted to kiss him. He requested medical assistance but refused it when they arrived. An officer described his state as “in a heightened state and continuously speaking in a stream-of-consciousness manner that did not have any logical direction.” As he was being taken into custody for public intoxication, Brown reportedly began spitting in the direction of onlookers and shouting obscenities at them.

DUI: Kenneth Strickler crashes twice within minutes, says “I’m drunk, take me to jail!”

72-year-old Kenneth Strickler crashed into a car on Long Hollow Pike in Goodlettsville, and as police were responding, he fled from the scene and drove a short distance, and crashed into another car in a nearby parking lot. As officers made contact with him at his final crash site, Strickler advised he was drunk and needed to go to jail. He was unable to stand for field sobriety tests and was transported to booking.
