Metro Police say 24-year-old Sharon Heaton was trying to enter an apartment that wasn’t hers on Sunday. The actual resident of the apartment believed someone was attempting to break into their home and called 911. Officers arrived to find Heaton passed out on the ground in front of the apartment door. She eventually regained some awareness, but was still extremely intoxicated and was a danger to herself and others. She refused medical services, and with no one else to care for her, was booked into jail, charged with public intoxication.

Penny Crain tells police she had too much to drink, they agree #PublicIntoxication
Metro Nashville Police officers working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville received a call about 52-year-old Penny Crain, who was reported to be “extremely intoxicated” and they found her acting unreasonably in public, and unable to care for herself. A report notes she was having difficulty standing on her own and was slurring her words as she yelled at other citizens in the area. She told police “I had too much to drink”.
Kara Edwards too drunk to stand up at Kid Rock’s bar in downtown Nashville
Metro Nashville Police responded to Kid Rock’s Bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville, to assist with a “very intoxicated” 23-year-old Kara Edwards, who was unable to stand on her own. She was unable to state where she was at, or anyone to call to assist her. She was taken into custody for her own safety and charged with public intoxication.
Kicked out of bar, tourist kicks at police car on his way to jail — Thomas Burns
Nashville Police say 47-year-old tourist Thomas Burns refused to leave Legends Corner bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville early Saturday evening after being bounced from the establishment. Officers say he was having trouble standing on his own and was acting erratically due to his extreme level of intoxication. As they were placing him into custody for public intoxication he began to kick at the patrol car in an attempt to avoid apprehension. He was placed in hobble restraints and transported to booking.

Metro Nashville Police say 37-year-old Phillip Mey was causing issues with staff at Acme Feed & Seed on Broadway in downtown Nashville and had made it to the sidewalk in front of the venue when they encountered him. He remained incredibly intoxicated, unsteady on his feet, and was determined to be unable to care for himself.
Cory Duffey wanted help to find the sidewalk, to lead him home… to Texas… or maybe Smyrna
Police were en route to a call at the Wild Beaver Saloon when they encountered 22-year-old Cory Duffey two blocks away fighting in the middle of traffic with two other individuals. Officers stopped to calm the situation and Duffey stated he just wanted to go home, which he said was both Smyrna and Texas. He then advised officers he just needed to find the sidewalk and that will lead him to where he lives. He accused multiple strangers of stealing his phone at random and spelled his name a different way each time he was asked.
Donna Robinson’s alcohol tolerance met its match in Downtown Nashville
35-year-old Donna Robinson was charged with public intoxication after police say she was walking on the sidewalk near 3rd & Broadway in downtown Nashville then suddenly began running into the roadway screaming and displaying erratic behavior. Officers attempted to calm her down but she seem to become increasingly intoxicated and was unable to stand on her own and reeked of alcohol.
Canadian TikToking Trucker Samuel Plourde found drunk and lying in roadway; laughed when asked how much he drank
24-year-old Canadian Trucker Samuel Plourde, who has a substantial following on Tiktok, was found lying in the middle of the right turn lane of Woodland Street just after 4 a.m. Thursday. Nashville Police say he reeked of an “extreme odor” of alcohol, and just laughed uncontrollably when asked how much he had to drink. His social media shows he left for Nashville on March 7th and had since arrived and parked his truck nearby. #Video in story

29-year-old Matthew Edwards was kicked out of a downtown Nashville bar this weekend and was unhappy with his current situation. Observing his extreme level of intoxication, officers gave him the opportunity to arrange a ride home, but he was unable to do so and had no friends available to care for him.
Another tourist too drunk for Nashville — Chace Gast arrested
Police found 21-year-old Chace Gast, without a shirt or shoes, attempting to get into an apartment on Lea Ave near downtown Nashville. He seemed extremely intoxicated, didn’t have a key, and wasn’t entirely which apartment he was actually staying at. The HOA advised he was not staying at this location to their knowledge, and for his own safety he was charged with public intoxication and transported to booking.
