Downtown Nashville has claimed another arrest in our #bspotter / #VisitMusicCity series documenting the public intoxication arrests in the city’s core which thrives on the sale of alcohol. 22-year-old Kennedy Thompson was found near the Hilton Garden Inn on KVB jumping out into the roadway and being belligerent, according to an arrest report. Police attempted to divert him to medical care, but he refused all services, resulting in an arrest for public intoxication and resisting arrest, as he pulled away when they took him into custody. Thompson is free on pre-trial release.

Teenage soldier charged after drinking 6 beers & attempting to fight others in Broadway brawl — Brodie Harris

Metro Nasvhille Police charged 19-year-old Fort Campbell soldier Brodie Harris with underage consumption of alcohol, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct Saturday night as he was involved in a large brawl on Broadway in downtown Nashville. Harris was observed attempting to punch another person, was ordered to stop, but he continued to attempt to strike the other person, ignoring the commands of officers. Harris stated he had six beers and was “trying to defend his friend from getting jumped”. Harris was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail and is free on pre-trial release.

Intoxicated woman jumps out of taxi on interstate, says “driver was weird” — Rachel Monahan

Metro Nashville Police say 28-year-old Rachel Monahan was heavily intoxicated and riding in the back of a taxi on I-40 when she apparently opened the door and jumped out of the vehicle, running toward the side of the road. The driver alerted police, who located her at mile marker 215, where she told them she had “a lot” to drink, and jumped out of the cab because she thought her taxi driver “was weird”. Officers charged her with public intoxication and transported her to booking.

Broadway bars claim another tourist in the big city — Amanda Girard charged with public intoxication

Metro Nasvhille Police found 37-year-old tourist Amanda Girard sitting on a downtown sidewalk crying for an unknown reason. She stated she had been out drinking while celebrating a friend’s birthday. Observing that she was entirely too intoxicated to care for herself, police offered her a medical ride to the hospital, transport to her hotel, or to assist her in finding her friends – all of which she explicitly refused. Officers noted she was belligerent with them during the entire interaction, making threats to them and other citizens downtown. After all other options were exhausted, she was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Man charged with public intoxication after breaking man’s nose at Jason Aldean’s bar — Phillip Pate

22-year-old Phillip Pate was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Saturday, where he was only charged with public intoxication. Police initially responded to Jason Aldean’s bar in downtown Nashville, where Pate says he was pushed by another patron, Richard Frederick Randall. Pate then punched him in the face, breaking his nose and sending him to the hospital for treatment. Police could not locate any witnesses or bouncers who were willing to come forward as a witness, and the victim was at the hospital, so Pate was charged with public intoxication, booked into jail, and released after eight hours with all charges dismissed.

Tourist defecates on himself in downtown bar, says security is “trying to kill me” — Hunter Brooke Macfarlane

38-year-old Hunter Brooke Macfarlane, a tourist from North Carolina, was found on the floor of Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa on Broadway in downtown Nashville with his pants around his ankles, having defecated on himself while screaming: “They [security guards] are trying to kill me!” Security flagged down officers after the man refused to leave, and he was transported to booking, where he was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. He is free on pre-trial release.

21-year-old unable to care for herself: Downtown Nashville wins another round — Jordan Wharton

21-year-old Jordan Wharton was found in downtown Nashville walking out into traffic, extremely intoxicated, and unable to care for herself, according to Metro Police. They attempted to get her medical attention as she had also reportedly fallen, but she refused all offers for assistance. She was unable to walk or stand, so could not be left alone for her own safety. She was transported to booking, where she was charged with public intoxication.

Man charged after stabbing trash can in front of Kid Rock’s Bar in downtown Nashville — Ryan McEwen

33-year-old Ryan James McEwen was found causing a disturbance in front of Kid Rock’s bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville. Metro Nashville Police observed him yelling and screaming while stabbing a trash can with a knife. He reportedly reeked of alcohol, and officers were unable to determine the reason for his rage. He was charged with public intoxication.

“Yes that’s my pot, I’ve been smoking for 50 years” — Ricky Cook arrested in downtown Nashville

Metro Nashville Police found 61-year-old Ricky Lee Cook at the Johnny Cash Museum restaurant, where staff had asked him to leave after they deemed him to be a bother to staff and patrons, and he refused to do so. Police noticed he was heavily intoxicated, and took him into custody. During a search incidental to his arrest, officers located a leather satchel with a green Tupperware container inside, which contained his personal use marijuana. When asked, he confirmed it was marijuana, and stated: “I’ve been smoking pot for 50 years”. Police charged him with drug possession and public intoxication and transported him to jail. He is free on pre-trial release.

Tourist kicked out of Redneck Riviera after trying to enter women’s restroom — Luke Dabbelt arrested

21-year-old Luke Dabbelt was charged with public intoxication late Friday night, after he attempted to enter the women’s restroom at Redneck Rivera on Broadway in downtown Nashville, and was got into a scuffle with security when they asked him to leave. He reportedly kicked and hit the venue’s security officer, and was cuffed when police arrived.
