DUI: Quinton Christian argues with police after crashing his Tesla on I-24 East

49-year-old Quinton Christian was involved in a two-vehicle accident on I-24 East near Exit 60B around 1 a.m. on June 29th. When officers arrived, they gathered information from the drivers, Janzen Xayvong and Christian. During this, officers noticed Christian reeked of alcohol and had dilated pupils. He told police that he was driving the 2020 Tesla while bracing himself against a guardrail for stability. This caused officers to prompt Christian with sobriety tests, to which he consented and performed poorly. Officers asked him if he would finish the remainder of the tests at a safer location since they were on the interstate. Christian then became argumentative, so officers determined any further testing posed a safety risk and detained him for the incident. Christian refused to provide a chemical sample and was taken into custody for driving under the influence and an implied consent violation.
