Johnnita Easley beats father with can of corn during robbery

45-year-old Johnnita Easley was caught stealing from her father, Reginald Easley, at his Trevecca Towers apartment on May 27th. When officers arrived, they met with Reginald, who stated that his daughter and grandson robbed him. Officers observed that Reginald had a knot on his forehead, bloodshot eyes, a cut on his eyelids, and a busted lip. Reginald went on to say that he let Johnnita and his grandson into his apartment to hang out. During their interaction, Reginald displayed $200 in his wallet. Reginald stated that once they saw the cash, Johnnita held him down and started hitting him in the face. While he was being held down, his grandson approached him and held a knife to his throat. Johnnita proceeded to take Reginald’s phone and money from him while his grandson was still holding the knife to his throat, saying, “Give us the money.” Reginald also noted that Johnnita beat him over the head with a can of corn as his grandson held the knife to his throat. Inside the house was the father of Reginald’s grandson, and he stated that he witnessed the incident and corroborated Reginald’s story. Johnnita was taken into custody for aggravated robbery on July 3rd.
