Chennye Turbeville punches man in front of his son during argument

28-year-old Chennye Turbeville had a domestic altercation with Gary Harrington II at her Mercer Drive residence around 10:57 a.m. on June 30th. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Turbeville, who stated that she and Harrington II had argued. Turbeville stated the argument turned physical when Harrington II got in her face, causing her to push him away. Then, Harrington II told them that she asked him to leave the residence, and he refused. In response, Turbeville pushed his chest, grabbed onto his tank top, and started striking him repeatedly, ripping his shirt and leaving visible marks. Harrington II’s son said that he saw Turbeville punching his dad in the side of his face. When asked how Harrington II’s shirt was torn, Turbeville stated that when she pushed him, his shirt got caught on her finger and ripped. Turbeville was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Shu-Jen Williams whips woman with extension cord

24-year-old Shu-Jen Williams and Dayjohnica Johnson had an incident with Jameshia Taylor at Extended Stay America on Elm Hill Pike in the afternoon of May 4th. A resident called 911, stating they could hear yelling coming from upstairs. When officers arrived, they spoke with the complainant, who said he heard three voices yelling from Taylor’s room, which sounded like a “physical altercation occurring,” adding that one of them screamed for help, saying, “I can’t breathe.” Then, they spoke with Taylor, who explained that she had fought with Johnson, during which she instructed Williams to help “jump” her. She said that while she was on the ground, Williams walked over and started kicking her repeatedly. Taylor advised that Johnson told Williams to get the extension cord, which she did, and then she started “whipping” her with it. According to Taylor, the two women continued attacking her until a female maintenance worker stopped by to check on them due to the yelling. Officers noticed that Taylor had swelling to the left side of her face, redness around her left eye, and whip marks on her arms, shoulders, and back. Her shirt was ripped and appeared to be wet as she was transported to Summit Hospital. Williams was taken into custody for aggravated assault.

DUI: Robert Miller caught with variety of pills, admits to drinking beer and wine before driving

50-year-old Robert Miller went through the Elm Hill Pike Dutch Bros twice and almost hit another vehicle on April 28th. Employees at the location informed police that he was “acting strange.” When officers arrived, they located Miller in the middle of the parking lot, where they noticed he was confused about his surroundings as they approached him. He showed signs of impairment, so they prompted him with sobriety tests, to which he consented and performed poorly. He was detained and admitted to having an Angry Orchard and a glass of wine between 8:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. last night. During a subsequent search of his vehicle, they located a bottle of mixed pills consisting of Esomeprazole, Bupropion, and Hydrochloride. After being read implied consent, Miller agreed to provide a blood sample, and then he was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
