Samuel Mustapha arrested for shoplifting; tells officers “I needed the money”

24-year-old Samuel Nmn Mustapha matched the description of the previous shoplifter from July 16th at the Murfreesboro Pike Walgreens. On July 17th, officers were near The Wash Tub Coin Laundry when they observed Mustapha at the location and detained him for the occurrence. Under Miranda, he admitted to stealing from Walgreens and the East Thompson Lane Dollar General Market, stating, “I needed the money.” Officers obtained footage from both establishments showing him exiting the store without paying for under $500 worth of items. Mustapha was later then taken into custody for theft. Mustapha was previously arrested for shoplifting at Mapco.

Local Musician Jason Wall caught assaulting wife by delivery man

36-year-old Local Musician Jason Wall was involved in a domestic incident with his wife, Chelsea Wall, at a Lords Chapel Drive residence on May 22nd. When officers arrived, they were met by Mr. Rodney. Rodney told them that while delivering packages, he saw Jason on top of Chelsea, holding her down. Rodney stated that he told Jason to get off of her, and Jason listened to him but continued to talk to Chelsea. Rodney said he stayed by Chelsea because he was scared of her safety. When officers spoke to Chelsea, she informed them that she and Jason were separated because of his constant use of drugs and alcohol. Chelsea stated that she and Jason argued over his recent behavior. During their argument, Jason got into Chelsea’s face and aggressively grabbed her arms. This caused redness and bruising on her arms, which officers observed. The argument then made its way outside, which is where Jason pushed Chelsea down to the ground and mounted her. While Jason was on top of Chelsea, he repeatedly stated, ” I just want to work things out and see my son.” When officers initially spoke with Chelsea, she said she did not want to press charges. Instead, Chelsea stated she wanted to get Jason some help with his mental health. However, she has since changed her mind and wishes to prosecute Jason. Jason was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault on July 3rd.

Rayven Jenkins fights girlfriend for “dropping the blunt”

19-year-old Rayven Hope Jenkins had a domestic incident with her girlfriend, Liberty Hall, at their Hickory Hollow Place apartment on the afternoon of May 23rd. When officers arrived, they separated and interviewed the two. Hall told them that she asked Jenkins why she “dropped the blunt,” and she replied, “I don’t know why you dropped the blunt; that’s your bad.” Then, she asked her, “Why are you trying to be smart?” Jenkins said, “You have a smart mouth. Do you want to come outside and fight?” After Hall responded, “No,” Jenkins became agitated and approached her as she sat down, so she stood up, which was when Jenkins punched her in the face, sparking a scuffle. Hall did not wish to prosecute her for the attack. Jenkins was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Hubert ‘Bookey’ Shipp charged with DUI after multi-vehicle crash in Antioch

32-year-old Hubert ‘Bookey’ Shipp was booked on July 8th after causing a multi-vehicle crash on Bell Road & Cane Ridge Road. Officers asked Shipp if had consumed any alcohol, and he replied, “Yes, I had a shot of alcohol,” and admitted to being the driver of the vehicle. He had bloodshot eyes and was swaying back and forth while trying to complete field sobriety tests. He performed poorly and was taken into custody.
