Cynthia Lloyd, part of ‘organized crime ring,’ steals $10 of ice cream; uses getaway bus

31-year-old Cynthia Lloyd is believed to be a part of an organized retail crime ring that centers around the area of Gallatin Pike. In March 2023, Police observed Ms. Lloyd coming out of the woodline near One Mile Parkway and hopping on a bus headed to Rivergate with her male accomplice, Thomas Tomlin. Detectives watched as Lloyd and Thomas entered Walgreens and stole $9.75 from the frozen food section. They then split up, walked out of the store without paying, and continued on foot northbound on Gallatin Pike, opening new packages of candy, ice cream, and soda. On August 10th, police also responded to the Walmart on Gallatin Pike and met with security, who had her detained for stealing $20 worth of merchandise from the store. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $25,000.

Deshaun Woods steals $650 from coworker at Music City Center

Daniel Langston was working inside the Music City Center on the night of July 13th and had sat his bag down while he finished his shift. Langston realized he was missing $650 from his wallet located inside his bag. 20-year-old Deshaun Woods was working in the same exhibit hall as Langston and is seen on surveillance putting the bag behind his back and taking something from inside. Woods returned a partial amount when confronted by security about stealing the money.

Deneisha Goodner says she ‘found’ stolen car she was caught in

18-year-old Deneisha Goodner was in a stolen 2020 Kia Forte that pinged in North Nashville around noon on September 26th. Air surveillance spotted the Forte on Kingview Dr. as it came to a stop and backed into a parking spot at Skyline Village Apartments. Deneisha’s description and another occupant, Phil Renza Owes, exiting the vehicle and walking into a breezeway of the apartments near the Forte were given. Shortly after, they were both apprehended and read their Miranda rights. She told police that earlier that morning, she and the codefendant found the vehicle with a broken window at Mildrey Gonzalez’s residence, entered the vehicle, and the two drove away.

Emilia Barbu part of Romanian meat-boosting trio at Kroger

19-year-old Emilia Barbu was jailed Friday evening after shoplifting at the Kroger on Northcreek Boulevard. Vasile was part of a group of suspects that were caught on camera putting various types of meat inside bags they had brought into the store. The loss prevention employee and an officer chased the subjects to the parking lot as they approached their vehicles. It was discovered that the subjects had concealed $391.33 worth of meat inside the bags. They couldn’t produce identification nor state where they lived, only that they were from Romania. Due to the high likelihood they would fail to appear in court, they were all taken into custody.

21-year-old Anna Lucia was jailed Friday evening after shoplifting at the Kroger on Northcreek Boulevard. Evan Gaines charged in theft from PETSMART store at 100 Oaks

20-year-old Evan Gaines ran from across a parking lot outside PetSmart after reportedly stealing from the store on August 9th. The manager of PetSmart, Michael Fleming, flagged down Vanderbilt University Police and pointed at Evan and his friend Reba Conquest running away. He told police that the two had just stolen from the business. Vanderbilt Police saw Evan and Reba getting into a gray SUV and stopped them. Evan was in the driver’s seat. The merchandise, valued at $372.89, was in the back of the SUV. He was booked for the theft of merchandise charge on August 29th.

Reba Conquest charged with shoplifting from PETSMART at 100 Oaks

29-year-old Reba Conquest ran from across a parking lot outside PetSmart after reportedly stealing from the establishment on August 9th. The manager of PetSmart, Michael Fleming, flagged down Vanderbilt University Police and pointed at Reba and her friend Evan Gaines running. He told police that the two had just stolen from the retail store. Vanderbilt Police saw Reba and Evan getting into a gray SUV and stopped them. Reba was in the passenger seat and admitted to stealing from PetSmart. She said the merchandise, valued at $372.89, was in the back of the SUV. She was booked on the citation for the theft of merchandise charge on August 29th.

Alexandria Jensen booked on five-year-old shoplifting citation

25-year-old Alexandria Jensen was seen by police hiding several items in her backpack inside Dillard’s on October 30th, 2018. Police stopped Alexandria, and she showed them the contents of her backpack. Inside were several unpaid items, as well as the jeans she was wearing. She qualified for citation because she had no outstanding warrants or failure to appear. She failed to book on the citation and was finally taken into custody and booked five years later, this past Friday.
