Madison Rackley runs out of Dollar General Market with basket of merchandise

19-year-old Madison Rackley was seen by detectives running out of Dollar General on Thompson Ln. on August 11. The detectives stopped Madison after they noticed that she was carrying a basket full of merchandise she didn’t pay for when running out. All of the merchandise was given back to the establishment, and the manager, Daniel Sutter, said that he wished to prosecute Madison. She was issued a citation for the shoplifting charge and was booked this week.

Kevin Hatter found in stolen vehicle with improper tags

18-year-old Kevin Hatter was driving a Kia Sportage with a temp tag belonging to a Honda Accord on August 31st. Kevin raced away from the first traffic stop that detectives attempted to make with the help of MNPD AirONE helicopter near Dickerson Pike and Maplewood Trace. The detectives did not follow but found the vehicle parked outside Buffalo Trail Apartments, and Kevin and the passenger exited the vehicle. Kevin was taken into custody. He told the police he was the driver and had recently purchased the vehicle. However, NCIC records showed that the vehicle was reported stolen.

West Coast Real Estate Agent William Dengler jailed after not paying tab at Whiskey Bent Saloon

42-year-old William Dengler was stopped by Whiskey Bent Saloon security after his card was declined three times, and he tried to leave out the front door. Police arrived at Whiskey Bent Saloon after being flagged down by a bartender to investigate, and the business showed them a receipt for $62.10 that William owed. They said after he was stopped from walking out, he moved towards the back exit of the business but did not know if he was attempting to leave. Police spoke to William who said that he only had one card with him and did not know where his friends were. He was arrested for theft of services after he and the police waited outside for one of his friends to come to pay for his tab, but no one showed.

Charles Brooks charged in thefts of liquor from stores he worked at

33-year-old Charles Brooks is accused by his manager of stealing several times from a company owned by Metro Wine and Spirits. On August 18th, police spoke to Brooks’ store manager, who informed them that Charles had been stealing from various liquor stores for several months. On August 1st, he took Hennessy bottles (valued at $107) and a Michelob Ultra (valued at $7), and then placed them into his backpack without paying. Also, on August 11th, Brooks is accused of completing several orders and pocketing the money (valued at $135.92) from Nashville Wine & Spirits. Beer, Cigars & Cigarettes.

The next day, on August 12th, Brooks pocketed cash from transactions while working at the Downtown Nashville Market (valued at $226) owned by TMM Inc. after taking several cash transactions. On August 13th, Charles stole approximately $200 of cash by pocketing it from his transactions, but from SoBro Wine & Spirits. Beer, Cigars, and Cigarettes. He also stole a pint-sized vodka bottle valued at $10 before he left without paying for it. Reportedly, there are several other incidents where he stole money and products where more warrants will be sworn out as the investigation produces more evidence. He was arrested on August 18th on a full extradition warrant from Illinois.

Man takes MNPD on two-hour chase in stolen Porsche containing a police tracking device — Roosevelt Castro

23-year-old Roosevelt Castro was charged with felony automobile theft late Friday night after stealing a 2013 Porsche Cayenne that had a tracking device placed on it by detectives. AirONE tracked the vehicle for over two hours, and just after 1 a.m. Saturday, officers successfully deployed a spike strip near the entrance ramp to I-24 from I-440 E. Castro was taken into custody and was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Virginia Man refuses to pay $8K tab at Barstool Sports Nashville

24-year-old Virginia tourist William Jessie was jailed in Nashville early Saturday morning after refusing to pay his nearly $8K tab at the new troubled Barstool Sports bar in downtown Nashville. Staff stated Jessie reserved a table with his credit card and charged to the table throughout the night. When the card was run at the end of the night, it declined as ‘frozen.’ Jessie told police he disagreed with the charges and purposely froze the card so it could not be charged. Barstool Sports prosecuted for the $7,946.05 theft of services.

Mapco employee Moises Beas let man inside to loot lottery tickets and cigarettes

24-year-old Moises Beas let a man into the Mapco he was working at while it was closed, and the man stole from the store. On July 13th, Moises worked at the Mapco on Bell Rd in Antioch and cleaned the store while it was briefly closed. While cleaning, security footage showed him meet Renas Kestay at the front door. He briefly went outside and spoke with Renas then the two both entered the store. Moises went to the backroom and continued cleaning while Renas filled a trash bag with approximately $1,195 worth of lottery tickets and cigarettes. Moises leaned into the camera view to see if Renas was done stealing. He wrote a statement saying that he knowingly let Renas into the store to steal while he looked away. He was placed under arrest for theft of merchandise on August 16th.

Preshus Northern charged in dine-and-dash at Sedona Taphouse

25-year-old Preshus Northern allegedly dined and dashed from Sedona Taphouse back in July. Police spoke to the hostess at Sedona Taphouse on July 14th who said that Preshus and five other unknown females made a reservation to eat there that night. They ate and left without paying for a tab that was valued at approximately $334.29.The hostess said that she became aware of Preshus’s Instagram account and confirmed Preshus out of a photo lineup.

Elexus Reed charged with shoplifting at Carter’s inside Opry Mills Mall #BoosterClub

26-year-old Elexus Reed attempted to leave the Carter’s store in Opry Mills Mall with over $200 in merchandise. Police spoke to an employee of Carter’s who said she watched Elexus conceal approximately $216.32 worth of Carter’s merchandise and leave the store on June 29th. The employee stated that she wished to prosecute. Elexus was booked on the citation on August 7th.
