Charles Cavalier III jailed after trespassing in Vanderbilt Hospital to visit his father

34-year-old Charles Louis Cavalier III was caught trespassing in Vanderbilt Hospital on November 12th. Cavalier III was trying to visit his father at the hospital after being told he was not allowed to. Then, he went to his father’s floor but was turned away by security. Officers observed him in the lobby and detained him. Cavalier III was booked on the citation of criminal trespassing on January 31st.

Samuel Smith smokes meth before trespassing into woman’s home looking for his “friend”

32-year-old Samuel Smith trespassed in Angelina Mahran’s home on Goodbar Drive around 7 p.m. January 27th. Mahran was not home but observed this from her security cameras and alerted the authorities. When officers arrived, Smith was in the front room of the residence, advising them that he did not live there, and entered through the unlocked rear door. Then, he stated he was there to visit his friend “Jeremy” but did not notify him that he was coming over. Officers confirmed that Mahran lived there with her partner, as she told them that Smith did not have permission to enter the house, which caused concern for her safety. She also told officers that no one named “Jeremy” lived there. Officers then detained Smith and searched him. The search yielded a small clear plastic bag containing less than 0.5 grams of methamphetamine and a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine in his backpack. Smith was taken into custody for the possession of meth, the unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and aggravated criminal trespassing.

Kelly Chieng arrested for trespassing, resisting arrest during protest at Opry Mills

33-year-old Kelly Chieng was one of multiple individuals taken into custody after a protest at Opry Mills Mall on December 23rd. Opry Mills Mall personnel and authorities were notified about a planned protest on private property weeks before it occurred. On December 18th, Jad Murphy, an agent for the property, called the protest organizer, Ayesha Kahn, to inform her to stay away, stating he did not consent to a protest. On December 23rd, Kahn and others from her group entered the Mall, refusing to speak with Murphy as he asked them to leave the property. Then, he reapproached the group with officers to ask them to leave; Kahn initially refused, stepped outside, and began organizing a group of protesters on the scene. Officers requested that the protesters get in their vehicles and leave the premises. They told them that failing to leave would result in trespassing, but Kahn and her group, including Chieng, failed to leave and were detained. Chieng ignored commands and actively resisted until being placed into custody for criminal trespassing and resisting arrest.

Marco Takla was handcuffed at Hustler Club Nashville – but not in the way he wanted

22-year-old Marco Takla caused a disturbance at Hustler Club Nashville in the early hours of Friday morning, and security called Metro Nashville Police for assistance. Officers arrived to find Marco Takla arguing with security, who had asked him multiple times to leave the property. Officers gave him the opportunity to walk away and off the property, at which point he began arguing with the police officers. He was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass.
