Jessica Royster pistol-whips her husband’s ex wife

40-year-old Jessica Royster was arrested after she was caught on video pistol whipping her husband’s ex-wife, Yasmine Easley, over a custody disagreement on October 17th outside of the Nashville Rescue Mission. Following verbal arguments that lasted throughout the day, Easley was upset with Royster because she does not have custody of her children, along with stating that the defendant is abusive toward them. The fight broke out when the defendant drove to the Nashville Rescue Mission and found the victim sitting on the sidewalk. The defendant pulled out a handgun and proceeded to strike Easley multiple times in the face, causing bleeding from the forehead.

After Easley was able to pull the handgun from Royster, she handed it to Nashville Rescue Mission staff. After losing the handgun, the defendant got into her vehicle and drove off before police arrived. In addition to the Nashville Rescue Mission staff, there was also surveillance video that showed the altercation with the firearm. Due to the damage to the victim and video evidence, a warrant was issued for criminal trespass, weapon possession with intent, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was arrested on October 18th.

Tourist Samuel Wilson too drunk and disorderly at Nashville Soccer game

34-year-old Samuel Wilson was taken into custody for public intoxication and disorderly conduct on October 17th. Officers were working at a soccer game on Benton Ave. when they were called to Lot 7 regarding a disorderly person. Wilson was screaming at security personnel and arguing with them as officers arrived. Officers observed Wilson to be a general nuisance, showing visible signs of intoxication, and he was taken into custody.

Kyshawn Roberts jailed after fleeing from stolen car

22-year-old Kyshawn Roberts was arrested on the evening of October 17th after being seen fleeing the scene of a stopped stolen vehicle on Summercrest Boulevard. A 2019 Dodge Durango was reported stolen from Bartlett, Tennessee, and tracked to Summercrest Boulevard, where it stopped. An MNPD helicopter witnessed the defendant fleeing from the direction of the stopped vehicle and running through the apartment complex on Summercrest Blvd. After being stopped and searched by police, Roberts was found to have an eight-gram plastic package containing marijuana.

After being read his Miranda Rights, the defendant admitted to being in the vehicle but stated he wasn’t driving. Roberts stated another occupant said police were trying to use road spikes ahead of the group fleeing. Roberts also admitted to the package being marijuana. A detective also said there was surveillance video from Bell Road showing the defendant in the driver’s seat.

David Martin jailed for impersonating a security guard, carrying a Russian Makarov pistol

52-year-old David Martin was arrested for being a felon in possession of a handgun and impersonating a licensed security guard on October 17th. Officers observed Martin approaching a market on Buchanan St. wearing a black ballistic-style vest labeled “security” and a black handgun on his right hip. Martin has a felony conviction for second-degree murder and was unable to provide any license regarding him being armed security. Officers removed a 9mm Russian Makarov with one in the chamber and eight rounds in the magazine from Martin’s hip before taking him into custody.

Randall Heflin charged with DUI after drinking Mike’s Hard Lemonade

38-year-old Randall Heflin was arrested for driving under the influence on October 19th. Officers observed Heflin failing to maintain his lane and conducted a traffic stop on him. Helfin had a cold, empty Mike’s Hard Lemonade can in his center console and refused to take sobriety tests when asked. Officers noticed Heflin to be visibly intoxicated when stepping out of the vehicle. Heflin was read implied consent and admitted to having two beers in 5 hours. He was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Conrad Cannon, 84, strikes grandson in forehead with metal broom handle

84-year-old Conrad Cannon was jailed Thursday afternoon after hitting his grandson with a broom. According to Matthew Walker, as he was getting ready for work, his grandfather told him to clean the house. He stated that he told his grandfather he was getting ready for work and didn’t have time to clean the house when Cannon became angry and hit him in the forehead with a metal broom handle. When Cannon was questioned, he told police that his grandson was threatening him and admitted that he hit him with a broom. He explained that the threats Matthew made were “hit me, hit me” and cussing at him. Matthew wished to press charges, and his grandfather was taken into custody.

David Noland charged with DUI after crash; revived with NARCAN

36-year-old David Noland was issued a citation on September 15th when he crashed his 2020 Chevy Suburban and injured himself. When officers arrived, Noland was already loaded into an ambulance and was being transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment. Officers spoke with another involved party in the crash as well as a witness, who both stated that Noland was driving erratically and swerving in and out of lanes. When officers arrived at the hospital, they spoke with EMS, who stated that Noland “bottomed out” in the ambulance and received Narcan, which revived him and is usually an indicator of drug use. Noland could not perform all sobriety tests because he was hooked up to machines and unable to leave the hospital bed. The tests that could be conducted were performed poorly, and a blood sample was taken.

Janet Mabry faces theft and aggravated burglary charges after stealing Zippos & watches, per police

43-year-old Janet Mabry was arrested for outstanding warrants for aggravated burglary and two counts of theft on October 19th. Officers were initially dispatched to Brewer Dr. regarding a domestic disturbance on September 23rd. As officers arrived, they spoke with Miles Little, son of Robert Little, who stated that Mabry, Robert’s ex-girlfriend, was in his house when he got there from school and that she had been evicted from the residence since August 12th. Miles told officers that the only thing Mabry said to him was “she had turned the water off” and that he heard the water running in the basement. As he went to investigate, he saw the connection hose to the washer spewing water and that the washer and dryer had been removed. Officers were told that Mabry arrived in a U-Haul to collect her belongings and was the only one in the house the day before the washer and dryer were missing. Miles contacted his dad, who called the police. Robert informed officers that the washer and dryer cost approximately $4,000 and that Mabry may have used a spare key that she kept after being evicted. Mabry additionally grabbed several of Robert’s watches and Zippo lighters valued at around $2,000, according to police. Her friends stood outside with ‘Free Janey’ signs as she was being released from jail on bond, as posted on her social media (screenshots below).
