Canadian Jonathan Bergen jailed for assault of wife in Nashville

43-year-old Jonathan Bergen was arrested on October 15th after he was seen grabbing his wife, Christina Alexander, aggressively inside Redneck Riviera and pushing her up against a chain link fence on Broadway. When officers arrived on the scene, they stated there were two individuals arguing, with one being Bergen and the other being a male who attempted to intervene after witnessing the altercation. When asked, the defendant claimed that nothing happened between himself and the victim, but multiple witnesses claimed otherwise and corroborated each other. Due to this information, Bergen was taken into custody that night and transported to booking.

Coreyontez Martin blows 0.121% BAC after crash

22-year-old Coreyontez Martin was jailed late Saturday night after causing an accident on 1st Avenue near Broadway in downtown Nashville. He admitted to driving his 2012 Mazda SUV and crashing into the back of another vehicle. Officers noticed Martin was displaying multiple signs of intoxication and asked him if he had been drinking, to which he replied that he had “one beer.” He performed poorly on sobriety tests and blew a 0.121% BAC on the breathalyzer.

Christopher Bell charged with selling alcohol to a minor at Turnip Truck

30-year-old Christopher Bell was seen by the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission selling alcohol to a minor at The Turnip Truck around 3 p.m. on September 20. Officers had a “cooperating minor” whose ID stated they were born on January 27th, 2004. Bell sold a 750 ml bottle of Chardonnay to the minor after checking the ID. He was issued a citation that day and was booked on October 10th.

DUI: Marcus Lafrance crashes vehicle after leaving graduation party

23-year-old Marcus Lafrance, former Blue Raiders safety, was jailed Friday morning after driving his vehicle into a ditch on Hailey Ave. He explained to officers that he was trying to make a U-turn, didn’t notice the ditch, and got stuck. Officers noticed he was having difficulty keeping his balance. Mr. Lafrance and the other occupants stated they were coming from a graduation party. Police smelled alcohol coming from Lafrance and noticed he was having trouble keeping track of the conversation, repeating himself, and had pinpoint pupils. He refused to perform sobriety tests or to provide a blood sample and was taken into custody.

Garth Wood jailed after stealing from man he was charging for his companionship

32-year-old Garth Wood was jailed Friday afternoon after Leonard Pollmann reported that he had been in a sexual relationship with Garth after reaching out for a companion online whilst grieving his late wife. Leonard advised that Garth charged him $250.00 plus the charge of the Uber for every visit to his house on Charlotte Pike to assist in his grieving. According to Leonard, the arrangement didn’t become sexual until Garth introduced him to a drug he believed was called THCA. Leonard explained that he thought he was doing THCA but was actually doing crystal meth. Over time, Garth began asking for loans, which Leonard would give to his newfound male lover. He advised he had been manipulated into loaning Garth money several times throughout their relationship. Leonard estimates he loaned Garth around $20,000. Garth also was stealing from Leonard’s home. During one visit, he walked out with three iPads that were worth $400 each and refused to give them back. Garth also stole Leonard’s wife’s jewelry, which was worth approximately $15,000. Leonard showed officers text messages from Garth admitting that he was in possession of the iPads. Leonard wished to prosecute for the theft of his belongings, totaling $16,200.

DUI: William Moore jailed after interstate crash

28-year-old William Moore was taken into custody for driving under the influence on the night of October 15th. Officers responded to a call regarding a single-vehicle accident on the I-440W exit off I-65S. Moore told officers that his tires blew out, causing him to hit the concrete barrier on the right side of the road. When questioned, Moore admitted to having too much to drink and even stopped during a sobriety test because he knew he was “drunk driving.” He refused all further testing and was transported to booking.

Riley Bert bites the thigh of MNPD Officer during arrest; kicks another

22-year-old Riley Elizabeth Bert is jailed on a $6,500 bond after biting MNPD Officer George Poulos on his leg, as her teeth ripped his pants, kicking him in his thigh, and kicking Officer Dennis Diesel twice. Officers encountered Bert as she was standing outside a black truck that was parked in the center of Broadway in downtown Nashville. The driver, her boyfriend, stated she was extremely intoxicated and continued to jump out of the vehicle at least three times prior to police arrival. She refused to stay inside the vehicle and was eventually taken into custody. During the arrest, she was combative and assaulted both officers. 

Branko Rabrenovich deemed too drunk for downtown Nashville.

28-year-old Branko Rabrenovich was jailed late Saturday night after refusing to leave the Sun Diner in downtown Nashville when asked to do so. He was visibly intoxicated and reeked of alcohol. Officers attempted to locate a friend to retrieve him but stated he had no one to come to get him. He stated he was going to walk home but quickly fell onto the street and into traffic several times, causing officers to take him into custody. 

Photographer Tanner Yeager jailed after kicking police officer in groin in downtown Nashville

30-year-old fast-action photographer Tanner Yeager was jailed in Nashville early Sunday morning after reportedly kicking a Metro Nashville Police officer in the groin on Broadway in downtown Nashville. Officers initially responded to the call of Yeager being disorderly at a downtown venue, where he was being detained by security. When police arrived, he kicked his leg straight behind him and struck the responding officer directly in the groin. He was then taken to the ground and placed in a hobble restraint. He continued to be “unruly with police” en route to booking, according to the arrest report. 

Javonte Gordon charged in $100 theft of candy from downtown store

18-year-old Javonte Gordon entered the Downtown Wine and Spirits on 2nd Avenue with three juvenile co-defendants on July 20. Once inside, the entire group reportedly worked in concert to steal approximately $100 worth of candy. Police say Gordon distracted the clerk, Silas Lunsford, by engaging in conversation and even purchasing some candy. The other three allegedly blocked the view of the clerk and stole the candy without paying. The entire incident was captured on the store’s surveillance cameras, and Detective Riley Brewer identified the defendants through the video, and warrants were issued in August. Gordon was taken into custody last week on the charge of theft of merchandise.
