32-year-old Derrick Tyler caused a disturbance in downtown Nashville near the Entertainment District around 1 a.m. on April 27th. Officers observed him picking up unfinished beer cans from the trashcans and told him to throw them away, which he ignored and continued to drink out of them. After officers advised him to discard the beer cans again, he “spiked” the beer can into the receptacle, splattering them with alcohol as it left the can. Tyler was then taken into custody for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and assault of an officer.
