Terrence Daughtery punches man at Nashville Rescue Mission

41-year-old Terrance Daughtery had an altercation with John Forshey at Nashville Rescue Mission around 6 p.m. on May 1st. When officers arrived, Forshey told them Daughtery had sat down next to him and punched him in the face before leaving, which caused a laceration next to his right eye. Forshey was transported to the hospital, where he received seven stitches for his injury. On May 2nd, officers observed him near the Greyhound Bus terminal in downtown Nashville and then detained him. Under Miranda, he advised that he sat down next to Forshey and believed he heard him say, “Get the fuck out of here and go to your mom’s,” to which he responded by punching him in the face, adding that he felt threatened by his statement. Daughtery was taken into custody for assault.

Terrence Daughtery of Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on May 2nd, charged with assault. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $1,500, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
